Hi, I think we have talked before.

I don't know what your setup is, what blower, what boost, ect?

But, a CJM Stage 2 fuel system with either a Dw300 or an Aeromotive 340 works well. The CJM Stage 2 is a Return fuel system with a 1/2" feed line and come with billet fuel rails. This is what I have and it works great. Also with this system I make about 578whp with 600cc injectors. You need to free up the fuel flow of the system to get the full flow of the injectors. Trying to compensate for lack of fuel flow by installing larger injectors is not the right way to go about it.

What fuel system to you have now?

Thanks for the info. Tim! Yeah, it makes sense where you mention about getting the fuel feed system upgraded to the injectors. I will be checking into that for certain. That CJM system/s I'll be looking into; DW makes some fine fuel pumps and that 300 looks great and that is the flow that I would be looking at (whichever pump I end up with) because I don't think for now that I'll be getting into a whp range higher than I now have and a 300 LPH pump would do the job.

My blower is a Vortech SI trim (2.87 serp. pulley) and it looks like up to 12 lbs. of boost at wot. South Bend stg. 2 clutch and SB 19 lb. steel flywheel; 3.9 fd gears.

My current fuel system is stock '07 HR fuel rails with the Walbro 255 lph pump and DW 600 cc injectors (pump/injectors came with my SC kit). The injectors are only about 3 yrs. old and not a lot of miles on them so maybe I can increase the flow to them, test the data and see how that works with the 600s right? I'll be checking into some of these systems to increase the fuel flow to the injectors. Your whp is awesome; mine not dyno'd, but I know it is over 400 rwhp. Thanks again for your help here.

Tim, what do you think about this kit! It's stg.1, but would be plenty for me and it sounds like a great kit. check it out:

*Upgraded MAF sensors, but $350 each and I need 2 (ouch!):

Yea, unfortunately since the HR has two intakes you need two MAFs lol. Can't really avoid that one.

I have the CJM Stage 2 because I knew I would upgrade for more power down the road with a bigger blower (more air, more fuel needed). I will suggest to pick up thw Aeromotive FPR instead of the Fuel lab when selecting the kit off the site. The internal orifice in the fuel lab made it impossible to get a lower base fuel pressure than 55psi, after swapping to the Aeromotive I got it to 49psi which is a little better to deal with at idle.

Thanks, yeah when I looked at the extra options to choose I would go the extra $40 for the Aeromotive unit, plus the in engine bay FP gauge ($25). One good thing for me is that the car runs strong under accel. right now so I'll take some time and go over these and maybe other options with my mechanic/tuner; I'd be looking at about $1,700 for parts alone, but this type of setup would surely be very nice to have (would choose the blue rails to)

By the way, which MAF sensors did you go with?

Just ordered almost $2,400 worth of stuff from Z1 Motorsports! Got a return fuel system, fuel pump, injectors, 2-MAF sensors and a "hoodie" (expensive gift)! Was talking with my tuner and I decided to just go for these upgrades; I need to go beg for $ on the streets, but it will be nice to have. *Thanks for the good tips from OldMan and Bluestream!

Just saw this. I have both the PMAS and Uprev GT. Went with the Uprev GT for my current setup 4 now because it was easier to calibrate. Once I install my YSi I will switch over to the PMAS since the flow scale is much greater for higher aiflow/Boost.

Sounds good. I am going UpRev GT, I'd imagine that since I have UpRev tuning that they would also be good to go as far as tuning. My tuner said that his software has a simple option just for those GTs so he will re-send my current tune with that GT option checked. * Tracking says it will all be here next Tues. so I can't wait! *edit: got injectors and pump, but the fuel kit is on backorder; will ship on May 11th.

Just got the rest of the return fuel kit today. Looks like top quality including the hoses. It's a CJM stg.1 return fuel kit, Deatschwerks 1000cc injectors, Aeromotive 340 lph fuel pump and fuel regulator with a in-engine bay fuel gauge. UpRev GT maf sensors are already installed. *They told me May 11th to ship, but wallah!

*Fuel enters pass. side rail, crosses over to dr. side rail, to regulator and back to fuel pump.

I've just got to get arrangements ironed out for getting the car 300 mi. north to the tuner's shop for installment plus he wants to get a dyno tune done if possible.

Still haven't had the return fuel kit/injectors installed yet, my mechanic/tuner is way busy because he's getting involved with this company that is close to his shop and he's just finished assembling his first one (The "Thunderbolt") in their Aviator line (Boss 302 engine) and will be tied up for the next few weeks doing two more. Hate waiting so long, but it will work out once I move up in line.

*I thought you guys may get a kick out of this lineup of these Cobra style of cars:

The car is finally on it's way to the shop in No. Utah for fuel kit install + tune. My Son is driving it up and should meet up with the mechanic/uprev tuner in a couple of hours!

Looking forward to getting it all done and dialed in; hopefully Jr. will bring it back!

Got some pics of install today. The full kit is now on the car; 2nd pic shows rails with new fp regulator and fp gauge mounted, now he is working on the tune!

I just talked to my tuner and he had barely finished with my car on the dyno. The very first dyno on my car (dyno virgin!) and I'm very happy, plus my Son will be driving the car back down here tonight (after 2.5 weeks)!

Reason I'm happy is because after 5 pulls; tweaking each time until it put down 447 whp and approx. 375 ft.lbs tq. He is just going to take it out on the road and do any final dialing in, check for any leaks (after fuel kit install). *I was hoping for somewhere like 410-420 whp and the news is even better.

I'd imagine that the new return fuel kit, upgraded supercharger and a fine tune on the car did the trick! I'll post up the make/model of dyno and some details of the last pull, etc. once I get it all.

Not bad for Fri. 13th!

Wow, congrats Blue! 450whp is a good amount of power on the street.

I wonder if you will like the 3.9 gears after the new power, I ended up going back to stock FD (3.54) and swapped out my diff with 3.91 gears. 1st and 2nd gear were useless for me even with 305s in the back.

Thanks, yeah I know what you mean about the gearing, but it would be some time before I did anything about that; the car hits hard in 2nd at say 35-40 mph then just stomp and it moves out well and then comes 3rd (my favorite); 2nd gear to 120 comes pretty fast.

How are you liking your new set up so far?

Its down right now for a clogged injector, which I fixed with Fuel Injector Clinic. I'm currently out of state for training till August so I can't reinstall my injectors until then. After that its off to Soho Motorsports one again for another attempt to retune, CFM hasn't put out the twin pump yet so I'm gonna see how far the 485lph will take me.

Anyways, enough about me. Glad you had some great results on the tune. How much boost was your tuner seeing on the dyno?
