DIY on changing a CDC
So thinking my Clutch Slave Cylinder is out or failing. I don't see any leaks but my clutch seems pretty loose and every time I let the clutch out while in "N" I hear this loud humming noise.
I checked that recall campaign for these things, my VIN falls in that category. I called an of course Nissan said they wont do anything for me cause the campaign closed. I also read on here that the Nissan replacement part is a turd anyways (it breaks again). Which CSC do you guys recommend? Also is there a DIY on here, I pretty much do all my own car/truck work (suspension, exhaust, engine bolt-on's, etc) but just never done this type of job before |

Before you go and tear it down without further diagnosis, know that HRs are notorious for gear chatter in neutral. If the sound appears and disappears when you depress (or even breath on the clutch pedal), this is normal. If CSC is toast, the only tried and true solutions for bad CSC: http://www.zspeedperformance.com/ZSp...SC-zsp2006.htm OR THIS... (newer and has great write-ups) http://www.zspeedperformance.com/ZSp...e-ZSP-CMAK.htm |
