Tim Horton's

OK, exactly what are these guys putting in their donuts to make them so damn addictive? I've been up to Vancouver about 1/2 a dozen times and everytime I go I need a sour cream donut. Krispy Kreme can't hold a candle to these guys IMHO.

Yup, I hear ya brother..... I`m lucky there are 4 of them within a 5km range from my place....

I`m addicted to their coffee!!!:(

Tim`s are planning on expanding massively into the us this year.... btw they are owned by the Wendy`s franchises (sic)

Take my advice, dont get their coffee.... its VERY ADDICTIVE!!!!

apharmdb Dec 8, 2005 08:45 AM

Perhaps this is the reason why. From their FAQ. Funny as hell but yeah I can see how a rumor like this can get started :)

Is there nicotine in Tim Hortons coffee?
This urban myth is just that… a myth!

Tim Hortons customers expect and deserve high quality coffee that is always fresh and consistent, along with fast, efficient service and all at a good value. Tim Hortons would like to clearly state that there is absolutely NO nicotine in our coffee. Tim Hortons coffee has NO ADDITIVES whatsoever. It is made only from a blend of the highest quality premium Arabica beans from several different coffee growing countries.

Tim Hortons decaffeinated coffee also contains no additives. It is decaffeinated through what is called the Swiss Water method, which is the purest manner of removing caffeine from the coffee.

Tim Hortons believes that our focus on quality, service and value, is what keeps our customers coming back for more!

Here's the list of stores in the US. I must say I was a little thrown off by the combo meals at first. Sandwich, coffee, and a donut did seem a little strange to me, but after tasting the donut I became an instant fan. There are definitely other coffees I prefer over TH (would take a Peet's over Tim Horton's anyday) but Cessna is totally right. For some reason it's very addictive. Perhaps it just goes too well with the donuts?

I'm such a bad canuck... doesn't matter how many Timmy's I drive PAST, they're ALWAYS full and I still don't understand the attraction. Their donuts are underbaked, and their coffee is gross... yet on rare occasion I do find myself in the lineup for a large english toffee capp... go figure

Nothing is better than a Canadian Maple. Used to make dinner out of a dozen of those guys back when I was living in Kamloops. Good stuff!

How can you beat a coffee place named after a hockey player who played to 3 Stanley Cup wins -- It just doesn't get more Canadian than that eh!

Sadly... he was killed when he was driving home in his expensive Pantera sports car, maintaining speeds of 160 km/h (100 mph) on the QEW near St. Catharines, ON when he lost control of his vehicle and crashed
