For those who have Bridgestone S-03's

If you have changed your tires... how do they ride compared to the stock RE-040's? Also, is the cabin quieter? It seems to me that the stock tires make a LOT of road noise...Does changing to the S-03's help?

I just noticed on Tirerack.com that the S-03's are cheaper than the tires RE's. Does anyone know why since the tires are supposedly so crappy?

I just bought some 19" SO3's from Tire rack for $977 shipped. 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. since there is an obvious size difference I may not have an accurate post but I will post results as soon as Intro-forged delivers my wheels

s-03 feedback

I drove only 900 miles on the stock tires before replacong them with the s-03's. I chose 275-35-18 for rear ant the 255-35-18 front. this size works great for cornering and I have notice d remarkable difference in go straight fast traction! I an no race driver and I claim minimal knowledge in the road race type driving...but for scatting around the Washington D.C. beltway and local roadways these tires are the ****...they seem to give a softer ride and noticeably less cabin noise compared to the re040 oem

will those sizes fit on the stock wheel?

According to Bridgestone's website:
http://www.bridgestonetire.com/dpp/index.asp

For the S03:
275-35-18 fits rims of 9" - 11"
255-35-18 fits rims of 8.5" - 10"

245-35-19 fits rims of 8" - 9.5"
275-35-19 fits rims of 9" - 11"

Excellent choice in wheels! Which model did you get, and what finish? They've got really good prices for custom made wheels.

Also, if you don't mind, what size did you get and what offset did you have them make for you for each wheel?

Dansterz...I'm in Upper Marlboro...Have we talked before? Is your Z black? Welcome to the board I see you made your first post. My S-03's in 245/35/19 & 275/35/19 should arrive after Thankgiving with my SSR-GT3's from Tirerack. Time is running so slow.

Even though they are not recommended, the tires fit perfectly on the stock rims (I did extensive research and these are the LIMIT of the stock rims capability) Be careful when you choose a tire shop to do the exchange I had to repair scratches on one wheel(very thin paint from factory) Also I've had to replae a tire pressure sensor 400.00....Yikes....good luck

I bought the Aero wheels

19 X 8.5 front 2.5" lip (I think 25 offset, not positive here)

19 X 10 rear 3" lip (not positive but I think 25 offset here too)

I ordered polished finish. I have not seen any I-Forged wheels in person, only pics but I love the way they look so I'm hoping for the best.

During the many Audi get-togethers I've been to I've seen lots of Audi people with Intro Forged rims. They look like really nice rims. Depending on the car color, the painted rims with polished lips look very nice. Very cool on black or very dark cars.

I hope the I-forged wheels are worth the wait, if I had known it would have taken 7 weeks I would have done things differently. They are not too good on the communication end of shipping, I was mis-informed ship date a couple of times when they were projected to be shipped. I requested 2nd day shipping 6 times only to be ignored and shipped three day, not a big deal but it just set me back 2 days since they don't pickup 3 day shipping until the following day which actually makes it 4 day which cost me $100 extra in car rental. Anyone ordering I-Forged, you had better be prepared for a LONG wait on these wheels, Maybe you guys will have better luck but I was told 4 weeks when ordered although SEMA set them back a couple days. Today is the day so I will post pics as soon as they are mounted, I guess I'll know in about 10 hours if I made the right decision on waiting this long.
