Get the vardoggies man. Cheap and sizing is there.

Corpse11 08-28-2012 04:02 PM

Yup, go with the Varrstoen's....the better cheap alternative to Volks, etc...

If you spend enough time either viewing this thread or the Top 100 FAQ you will notice that not only are those sizes barely better than stock but you are also missing the offset which is the probably just as important

Spend some time in this thread and you should be able to so answer your own question

I love 18s. Rear camber is at around -4 or 5 I think, and with my current ichiba arms i can't go anymore positive :( I'd like to get -3 or even -2 as I have quite a bit of room to go more positive (Stretched tires and rolled fenders.)
Ordered some SPC rear camber arms, think that will give me any better results?

specs are 9.5 -4 all around

EDIT: here is a better picture to show the rear camber, it has to be the picture or something because my rear clearance is actually the same if not a tad more than the fronts, even though it looks like the rim is practically touching the fender

Wheel tire question

Im looking at running this setup but worried about having to roll fenders which i dont want to do. So i have an 03 350z base model with a .6 inch drop with the rsr ti2000 springs. I already have the tires they are 275/40/18 rear and 245/40/18 rear my friend gave them to me. The rims i want to buy are 18x10.5 with a 20 offset for the the rear and a 18x9.5 with a 25 offset for the front. Please give me advice and let me know if i should be good running that setup without having to roll the fenders. :dunno:

You'd most likely need to roll that is a pretty tall tire and the lip on the z is huge. Your problem will be dips in the road that puts a good flex on suspension you'll rub. Nothing wrong with rolling to be safe

amossa 09-16-2012 06:06 AM

theres really no harm in rolling the fenders. its inexpensive too. im no expert on stance but your setup is pushing it a bit close and you might rub going over bumps.

terrasmak 09-16-2012 06:39 AM

It should need a very slight roll

realist alive 09-16-2012 11:33 AM

when in doubt roll fenders

thinking about a 18x10.5 +20 all around.

would 245/40/18 & 275/40/18 look weird? would those sizes be fine?

255/40r18 & 285/35r18 would better I think.

from my understanding running a taller tire in the front is a no no. plus i had 255/285 on my old xxr setup and it was a little too meaty for my taste. i think 245/275 would be good.

Much better off with a 275/35-18 front and 275/40-18 rear , then you will probably want a 10mm spacer in the rear.

im almost positive a 275 on a 10.5" wheel up front will rub, no? my old setup up front (18x9 +8 with a 255/35) rubbed like hell and i ended up having to have the fenders pulled, which meant taking the fender liners out, which led to headlight problems.. and just stuff i do not want to get into again.

285/35-18 Hankook RS3 (that tires runs really wide ) mounted on an Enkei NT03 18x10.5 +30 with a 10mm spacer (that makes it actally +20 now) and i can remove about 1/2 degree of camber if i want.
