Ray's Metal Coat (RMC)?

Does anyone have Volk GT-C's, GT-7's, or SF Challenges in RMC on a black Z? I'm torn between RMC and Mercury Silver for my SB ZR and can't seem to find any pictures of the RMC to compare on a black car. Also, is it a "smoked" chrome look? It's very hard to tell from the pics...

ooppps, looks like the pictures got vaporized. Maybe they will be back. Or you could just PM the guy to send you some pics. It looks real good though. BEN

Is RBC and Ray's Metal Coat (RMC) the same? I couldn't see the pics either but PM'd the guy to see if I could get pics. My concern is that it is a different color - but maybe they are the same...

I think it is the same. Chrome but darker tint right? Kinda smoked chrome look. Someone else who knows more please chime in at any time now. Dont be shy. hahah BEN

This is the wheel by itself - just would like to see it on a SB before making a decision...

RMC and RBC are not the same. RMC is only available on the SF series wheels, and is a chrome like color (very bright). RBC is only available on the GT series wheels ( a darker chrome look).

Do you already have the wheels? Or are you still looking for them?

The RMC with black will look amazing ... just my opinion. A friend here has RMC GT7s and they look great on his silverstone G35

Don't have the wheels yet - trying to decide on RMC or Mercury Silver for my SB Roadster. I'd like to see pics of the RMC Volks on a black vehicle prior to making my decision if possible. I think it would look great but want to be sure before investing the $$$$...

Essentially it will look like a high polish wheel. Not really a chrome .... know what I mean.

Look up some of the Iforged guys ... they run full polish wheels on black.

I like the "bright" look on black - that's why I love Mercury Silver. Just a little paranoid the RMC will look like cheap chrome in person. Below are two cars that I really like - both running Mercury Silver Volks. (People from this site)

Someone HAS to have RMC on a black Z that I can take a look at... Or will I be the first to bite the bullet? ;)

Here are a few pics I found today of RMC on different vehicles - still no black but I think I'm leaning towards SF Challenge in RMC - looks awesome...

JimRHIT May 4, 2005 03:47 PM

I'd go with the GT7s for the Z ... more agressive look

I was torn with the GT7 and the SF Challenge - but I really am liking the challenge right now - I change my mind every day... :icon11:

Here are a couple more SF Challenge RMC examples I found- another roadster with these wheels - just not in black...
