Need an Suggestion on TSW Mondello's
I Finally (after nearly 3 years of waiting) have just bought a Z.
2003 Touring Chrome Silver 5AT First thing I obviously want to start with are my new rims. I've been looking at the Volk LE37's (silver) and I liked those alot until i came upon the new TSW Mondello's... Here is the setup im lookin at getting: 19x9.5 Front and Rear Hyper Black w/ Polished Lip http://www.tsw.com/new/app_guide/ima...eels/mon-b.jpg Wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1-S 255/35ZR19 (My pop works at goodyear... always nice to get tires at cost) The Questions i have: 1- The Offsets are 20 and 35, which one will give me the biggest lip and will the biggest lip work on my car without rolling the fenders? 2- Do you think this selection will work out on this car? -I like the look of the rims, but i havent seen them on any 350Z yet, and i dont want to be the lab rat for the testing at risk of making this car look rediculous. 3- I plan on dropping the car in the future, hopefully with Tein Flex's and the EDFC (i think thats the right combination). Will these work with those as well? 4- Any Other Wheel Suggestions if you don't think this one will work out? Remember i have Chrome Silver (and for some reason its difficult to find rims that will look right on this car, in my honest opinion) Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out and give some constructive opinions/criticism. --Stailey |
I think the wheels look sweet. If I were you I would go with a staggered setup, narrower in fron than in back. I.E. 8.5F,9.5R. A 9.5 in the rear with a 35mm offset will be to tucked in. I have a 9.5 with a +25 and it could be a +20. On the front I have 8.5 +24 and it could be +20 also.
If you have the same width front and back with the same offset, it will look silly The lip will vary upn the design of the wheel. With a 9.5 +20 you're looking at atleast a 3" lip, probally 3.5". If you want some pictures I can snap a few of my old iforged wheel and my new enkei's and e-mail them to you. One mor thing, the TSW's are probally 1/2 the price per wheel than the volks and they look pretty sweet. They look like Do-Luck wheels. call your local discount tire. They will get you the best price. also, you should go with 275/35's on a 9.5" rim. Perfect fit and almost exact to OE wheel circumfrence. Good luck, Matt |
hey stailey , did you get those wheels yet, if so, i would like to see some pics as well ..'cause i'm in the market for that rims, too
