anyone running 235/50r17's on the front
 

I am thinking of running 235/50R17's on the front of my 05 touring when the OEM Bridgestones wear out. If they fit I could rotate them. Anyone do this yet? Below are the specs for each tire. It looks pretty close.

I'm running 235 / 50 / 17 in the front, but you have to run 245 / 50 / 17 in the rear to keep the offset. It didn't feel as stable as stock size, but that may be because the tire is 1/4" higher, and that probably threw off my camber. If you go this route, you'll probably need an adjustment.

I think I was riding more on the outer edge of the tire. But then I installed the Tien H tech springs, which lowered it by .3 in the front and .2 in the back. I think that threw the camber back into spec, and now it huggs the corners mad.

The tires also look larger in the wheel well, which is a look I like. I'm not a particular fan of the super large rim / rubber band look.

You won't find that many tires though that come in 245/50/17. But a GREAT choice is the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Be prepared to spend $900 for all 4.

Am I reading that right, that the springs only lowered your car .3" front and .2" rear?

I have not heard of a set of springs that lowers the Z by such a tiny amount.

I thought 9/16" front and 3/4" rear was about the mildest drop?

That's not even a quarter inch drop in the rear and only a tad over a quarter inch in the front, plus that's backwards too, if anything it should be .3" drop in the rear and .2" front ..

Is it mm's or inches? The drops still seem backwards to me though.
