Picked up some new tires, 255's on stock 17's
I have 17's on the back and I wanted something wider for the back. I went with Sumitomo HTR Z II's in 255/45-17's....I must say, weak sidewall but amazing grip around corners. I got 2 of them for inside of $200 (know someone who works at a tire place) and they're pretty good in the rain as well
Pics of my old Potenza's (belting and bad wear due to the negative camber in the rear, but I love it) http://img322.imageshack.us/img322/8...enza0en.th.jpg New Sumis....notice the extremely agressive tread pattern http://img322.imageshack.us/img322/1...umis6kr.th.jpg New and Old http://img322.imageshack.us/img322/1...dold8oo.th.jpg |
DomZ, how do you like the tires after 4 months??
Thanks. |
They're horrible, I've learned how to hook on them on the street, but the sidewall is as weak as an infant. Not made for the Z, more made for a Mustang or F-Body

+1 Sumitomo's were great on my maxima... but definitely not good for a Z.
How much negative camber do you have? |
