Anyone run 19's up fron and 20's in the rear???

Hey guys,

just wondering if anyones run 19" rims up front and 20's in the rear. Only asking because a good friend just gave me some Axis Mod 7 rims, and thats what they were. Any negative effects of doing this? Any input is appreciated as always!

If 19 inch wheels fit all around, and 20 inch wheels fit all around, then 19 on the front and 20 on the back will work

Disadvantages of big heavy wheels on a 350Z. Several members have mentioned the performance disadvantages, but no one seems to care.

cool. i just wasnt sure if the "rake" of the car would be a problem.

No problem. Just make sure that the rear tires are about ½ taller that the front. The set up will work fine.

What about an 18f-19r or a 17f-18r?

Some of us Z owners are low on the cash..

I've noticed that a few sport cars have smaller sized diameter wheels upfront with a slightly larger profile tire than the rears -the vette C6 Z06 has 275/35 ZR18 - 325/30 ZR19, dodge viper srt-10 has 275/35 ZR18 - 345/30 ZR19, porsche carrera gt has 265/35 ZR19 - 335/30 ZR20, ford gt has 235/45 ZR18 - 315/40 ZR19, saleen s7 has 275/35 R19 - 335/30 R20, ferrari 599 gtb fiorano has 245/40 R19 - 305/35 R20, and so on.

From what I've heard the smaller wheel with larger profile tire upfront provides greater sidewall flex which helps with cornering. Also, it is obviously a lighter wheel with a lighter tire which also helps with cornering. Well, that's what I've been told anyway and it makes sense to me. So IMO I think it would help performance as long as you don't put too heavy a wheel on.
