@@@PLEASE HELP@@@ ONLY 1 hour until DECISION Toyo t1's were drifted, deal or no deal?

I am about to buy some toyo t1-rs tires 245/35/19 and 275/35/19...they are off of a guy that works for axis, and he did only a few drifts for a photo shoot and now he will sell me all four tires for 650 shipped. The front two have about 90-95 percent tread left and the left rear has 90-95 percent tread left, BUT the right rear is weird. Half the tire has about 70 percent left and the other half about 90-95 percent left. SHOULD I GO WITH THESE TIRES, and will that be safe or would i have to buy a new rear tire. PLease can somebody help me out, i need to let him know by today. deal or no deal? appreciate any help.

no deal.

Tires are what keep you the road. Uniform wear is fine, of course...but uneven wear is never safe. I wouldn't risk it if I were you.

No.

Used tires are a risk not worth taking. You can do a visual check for exterior flaws, but you cannot cannot see problems caused by pot holes and smacking curbs. Tires are the #1 safety and performance mod. Don't skimp on tires.

3 of the tires are 90-95 percent tread life, the guy selling them i trust...just one tire has 1/2 75 percent 1/2 90 percent.......still no deal then?

loquitoy2k Apr 15, 2006 03:51 PM

No deal. Save your money on something else. Not on used tires.

get them new for 900 something from Christ at F1

Volk350Z Apr 15, 2006 11:44 PM

you can also get them from Rick @ status he got some good deal going on with toyo..

OCG35Coupe Apr 16, 2006 08:58 AM

He is asking for too much. People sell tires with 90-95% tread left for $350-$450 all the time on these forums. And thats with all the tires having 90-95% tread left too. I would not pay more then $400 for those 4. Heck, i would probabley not pay $400, more like $350.

i cant find a staggered set up like this for cheaper than 650 shipped......where could i find 90-95 percent tread life left for 400, especially toyo t-1rs? I appreciate the advice, just wondering.
