20's in the rear

Has anyone put 20's in the rear? Is this even going to work without rubbing?

AZ350Z Feb 6, 2003 07:46 AM

No Problem

I'm even considering putting on a set of Eibach springs to lower it some.

cool .... making more understeer

Hey Todd

Del350 Feb 6, 2003 09:27 AM

Thanks for the info guys. What size is best I was going to put 19x9 and 20x9.

Todd@ProDyno Feb 6, 2003 09:31 AM

Luke, you driven one yet? Im still curious why so many people complain about the understeer in this car. I've completely worked out this vehicle twice now with very little evidence of understeer. At least not the level at which I read about.

Hey Todd

Some people want their car to look their way...not perform your way.

actually yes ... I met up with a Track model owner in Indy and we swapped cars for a several laps at Putnum Park ..... it definitely needed help in the twisties but, I do attribute some of that to the RE040's ... but, you gotta love those Brembo's

I always thought sports cars were supposed to be drivers cars that look good not good looking cars that drive decently ... IMHO

I agree with you but apparently not everyone does.

To each his own.

Todd@ProDyno Feb 6, 2003 11:11 AM

I havent had the pleasure of testing out Brembos yet...Ive only driven the enthusiast model. Braking was pretty strong for stock...but did have slight fade. I agree that it does need help in the twisties...but then again almsot everything from the factory does. Whether or not they call it a track model...the factory will always go the safe route and build in at least a bit of understeer.

To each his own is right...I have met up with more people that want to look good in this car, rather than get max performance.

Has anyone considered looking into these wheels. They are the Axis Se7en Mod. I would recommened putting 19x8 up front and 20x10 on the rear similar to the pic. If this of interest to you let me know, I can get a good discount for us members. I am putting this set on my G35 coupe. I can't wait.

BTW....the tires will be 245/35/19 front and 285/30/20 rear.

Contact me by email if you want a qoute. They aren't very expensive so it will be in everyones budget. Please mention Axis Se7en Mod on the subject of email.
