TSW Wheels

Hi all

Anybody with TSW Wheels ? I am looking at possibly getting some TSW Kyalami wheels in Silver for my 05 black Z.

Is this a good brand ? I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question - I just haven't heard of TSW before.

Also - I was looking at bronze wheels. I like the look of bronze on black - The only ones I could find are the NISMOs and the volks - both have really stubby spokes. I sort of like the "mesh" design - anybody know of any bronze mesh wheels ?

Thanks

tsw is kinda like the mcdonalds of wheels. you can get it everywhere, its cheap, some people think its good, but it aint a fuddruckers burger. you get what you pay for but some people do love mcdonalds and swear by it. the only wheels tsw makes that ive liked on the Z are the thruxtons.

Does anybody have an opinion or know if TSW wheels are any good? My local Nissan dealership has them on a Z they're selling and in the display room. They look good and be had for $200 each in 18" size from Discount/America's Tire. I know they're made in China, but I think quite a few brands are today. Really like the mondello. Here's a little about them.

TSW Mondello

Whether your interests carry you to the extremes of racing, styling or just every day driving, TSW is a name that has to be considered when buying new wheels for your vehicle. Their heritage spans four decades of leadership in racing and wheel technology development. Styles for cars, trucks and SUVs mean you can have the advantages of TSW's strong (they carry Europe's highest TUV rating) yet lightweight construction no matter what you drive.

Size Price

18X8 5-114.3 20HB $199.00

18X9 5-114.3 20HB $199.00

I have TSW Thruxtons and I love them. They will work just fine and look great man. Good choice I would recommend them. There isn't anything in the 350z rule of thumb that says you need to have a $3,500 set of wheels on your Z.

those mondellos just dont like right on a Z. ive seen a few of them. thruxton's are the way to go if you want TSW wheels. make sure you get at least 35 series sidewalls and tsw's are known be like butta and bend quite easily.

i agree...those mondellos won't look good on the Z.

Here's a couple shots from their website:

Not trying to change your mind, just showing them to you. Thanks for your opinion.

I know a few people who have seen cracks developed on their rims after awhile.

teh wheels aren't great....keep saving IMO

I think they sort of work on the silver, not feeling them on the blue.

TSW are some of the nicer looking budget rims though.

:icon16: I think there weak

i had tsw way back in the day on my maxima. strong as hell (and heavy) cast rims that were made in italy- i dont know how they are made now, but i never had a problem with them and they served their purpose...

are they really made in china now, or is that internet rumor?

ya I know Tsw's arent the wheel of choice, but Im not going for a racing wheel, and all the TSW logos would be removed before the wheels mount :icon44:
