I just got a set of the Nitto Neo Gen's. I have to rev to 4k to break these things loose. I came off a set of Toyo T1's and these seem to stick much better in the twisties. Look cool too...

I have the Neogens, and they seem to be good. Very quite, compared to my winter tires. I am going to test them this weekend in the canyons.

ok I am leaning towards the falken 452s or the nitto 555s bfg's seem outdated and a lot of people say they are slick in wet weather. I am ordering in the morning so if anyone has input on either tire please speak up. I read the nitto 555 are great for drfting which makes me wonder if they grip as much as the falkens do. Luke ( from Discount Tire) is giving me a great price on either tire and suggested both tires. grip in mostly dry weather but some wet weather is what I am going for, as I live in dallas texas. rarely will I track the car, so not looking for auto X tires like the falken rt-615's. thanks for looking out.

The BFG KDW2s are supposed to be a big improvement over the original KDWs as far as wet handling goes. Just something to consider.

I've got about 3,000 miles on my Direzzas and still very happy with them. They have good grip and ride nicely. They are very nicely priced too.

All I know is that in pouring rain, no VDC, and trying to get a little sideways...I couldn't with Toyo 4's

i was considering the BFG's with the newer design, but i dont think they are available at the moment in 275/40/18

will 285/40/18 fit on a 8.5" rim? i think 285mm min is 9" rim but i can not find the spreadsheet i found the other night to double check


what about running
Front 245/40/18
Rear 255/45/18

Front tire will be smaller than stock and rear will be slightly larger, but unless i can find 275/40/18 there is no other size that matches as close.

did you get the tires yet? I have the nitto 555s from dtd, and now looking as well and was looking at the falken 452. let me know if you got the falkens and how they turned out for you. i live in so cal so pretty dry most of the year. i dont track at all and just looking for a daily driving tire that can hold the turns and is not too expensive. looking in the same price range.

Falken RT615 255/40-17 and 275/40-17

phenomenal on the street, great on the track (as a street tire)

Had BFGoodrich KDW (old thread) in 245/40-18 and 265/40-18(discontinued) and liked them. They weren't incredible, but did well in every conditions. Zero feathering and lasted quite a bit... Too bad they don't make the 265/40-18 anymore...

i would love to get the Falken Azenis RT 615 (qualifies for SCCA Street Tire Class Competition) but they are treadrated at 200 vs 280 of the 452's. and they do not come in the sizes i want. i am thinking screw it i will rock the
452's and see how they do. they may not be track tires like the Azenis are but i aint really going to the track very often

I have Nitto's 555 255/35/20F and 275/30/20R shoes and I like them...1000 times better than the stock slippers....But then again Im comparing them to a drastically inferior tire....I plan on going the GS D3 in the future and Ill see how they compare against these Nitto's...

I have been looking at the dunlop sport maxx tires they are not quite as expensive as the PS2s. I have GSD3s on right now, but it's time for new tires. I loved the GSD3, but I think I am gonna try the Dunlop's out this time around

the rears look fat on the stock 18" wheel. but i think it looks good, now that i have the 245s in the front they look awesome. but i think it would look funny if you went wider on the stock wheels. but who knows. if you want i can take a pic
