295/35-18 mounted on HRE 445's
 

I took these pics right after it rained and I know i could have taken better pics but I just wanted to post my new HRE 445's with brushed finish and 295/35-18 rear and 265/35-18 ft tires (Toyo Proxy T1's).

I'd like to see more pics of your car & wheels as I'm going to get the HRE 445's too in brushed. I think they'd look really classy on a SuperBlack. Do you have any side shots?

WOW.. those look awesome! If you can excuse my wheel sizing ignorance.. do they fit without any mods? I have the touring, so I'm not sure if the PSI sensor will fit those rims. Also, I wonder if the TCS/VDC works o.k. with these.

Who is the actual manufacturer of these rims and may I ask how much the rims and tires were?

295's in the rear look good. Offsets look almost identical to mine, but then that's exactly what HRE said they'd be.

How's the steering/handling with those 265's on the front?

Even after getting the updated instructions from HRE, I haven't wanted to deal with the hassle or the expense of giving it another try so I still don't have the TPS's in my wheels.

Personally, I think the tires look a little too wide (photo from directly behind), but the HREs look fantastic!

Have you notice any improvement/degradation of handling since going with the wider wheels?

Thanks for the compliment. Yes, these wheels easily fit without problems and without mods. 265/35-18 ft & 295/35-18 rears. You can even go 295/30-19 rears and 275/30-19 fts if you like (thouse are the sema car sizes and they drove it for weeks without problems).

The company is HRE out of Vista CA. You can order them thru Avalon who is on this site. Wheels for me were in the area of $3600 so they are not cheap but the best never is. These are true 3 pc wheels. Your TCS/VCD will work as long as you are within 3% of stock outside tire diameter. The sizes i posted are all within those specs so no problem. I have an enthusist model so I did not use the tire sensor kit they give you. Others that purchased these wheels may know about that then me. Let me know if yo have more questions, I will try to answer anything you are wondering about. PS: treadepot,.com is great for low prices on tires.

265 feel good up front. I was expecting it to drive "heavy" but it does not. It feels like it has a wider stance. It is raining here in Ca so I cannot accurately judge handling right yet.

Well, different stroke for different folks. I love the 911 turbo stance this gives me but that is why they make different size tires, for different taste.

They look great! IMO, these are the best looking wheels out there. They're not the lightest, but not the heaviest, they're expensive but they fit perfectly. I'm looking forward to getting them and the Toyo's. Did you get the etched center caps? Also, did you get the ones for the big brakes?

Lucky for me, I live within 5 miles of the HRE factory. I selected the standard centers because I happen to like them best. I do not know if i will need the space for larger brakes but I had them allow room for them.

The added bonus for me is having met Bob and Alan at HRE. Bob does all fitments and Alan is the Engineer that designs the wheels. Both of these guys love cars and once you get them talking about them, it is obvious they are enthusist. No matter what size tires you select, Bob will make them look the same relative to proper offsets. HRE first class in Manufactoring and customer service so all worries go out the door when dealing with them.

As far as tire size, most guys are going with a 245/275 combo which is good but if you desire a larger size like I do, do not be affraid to go for it because this car can easliy handle bigger tires. Jusy make sure you get the offsets right,

Nice job, the rears are beefy. A little big for my taste but I think they look awesome. Tuff is a better word. I can't wait to put mine on. They are sitting in boxes in my garage with the toyos next to them. All I need is for my car to be delivered. Arggggh!

awesome! IMO, best wheel for the Z so far. But the Toyos look like they belong on a dune buggy with the car not lowered. Dr. Eibach should be able to cure this syndrome!
