bigest tire on a stock 03 with 17's

i tride the search but all i got was newer 18inch recomendations.

but how wide can i go..... i like the side walls to be 45.

so would 245/45/17 (front) and 255/45/17 (rear) be too much for the stock 17's

i want the most grip with resonable cornering stability....

the tires i want to get are the BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KD or the ADVAN Neova AD07

I have an '04 on Eibach pro-kit springs with OEM 17's and run Kumho Ecsta MX 245/45/17 front and 255/45/17 rear. They fit great, no rubbing. I have no TCS/ABS problems, and I like the balanced handling. I have autocrossed and done several track days with this set up. I also used a "tire calculator" to find out if my speedometer would be incorrect and found it to be in acceptable limits with these sizes. Be sure to check with the specific tire company because differnt tires have different "approved" rim widths.

I recommend OEM width plus 20mm.

i had 275 40 18 on my stockers and love them. i would go to the track with these wheels and had really good grip. used them for more than a yr with no problems before i upgraded to 19s

You can fit a 315/35/17 on the back on a 17x11" wheel with a +25mm offset. Up front you can run a 285/35/17 on a 17x10" wheel with a +25 offset. Those will get the job done :D

I have been running 245/45/17 (front) and 255/45/17 (rear) for two years with no problems.
