+1 these cant disperse any heat! Plastic will act like a greenhouse and hea the **** out of them!

first350 Nov 2, 2006 11:40 AM

wonder how much they weigh...if they're actually strong enough and could take the abuse as normal performance rims, it might be worth it. Wonder what the melting temp is?

michaeljr6 Nov 2, 2006 11:42 AM

8k$ for wheels or twin turbo...lemme think

MJBsZ Nov 2, 2006 11:48 AM

Probably come with a disclaimer saying they are for show use only. This way you drive to the show on regular wheels and put these on when you get there to show off your BBk or suspension or something.

Just because they might be for show though doesn't mean that people won't use them like regular wheels

just waiting for the polycarb acetal to melt, warp, crack, or deform. then the a$$ clown who bought them will go on and sue for the fact that it's not safe. NO SHIET it's NOT safe. anyone who has a brain can tell that's not safe. :icon22:

or when someone jacks them and their bbk. they wont even notice the cinder blocks under the car.

Lol...that's actually pretty cool. I think a good idea would be to cut the clear part into spokes and paint it with a transparent coat of color (black, gunmetal?) but enough to see through it still. And the rear should be staggered of course, I think it has a chance.

That looks more like doing donuts than drifting

davidf Nov 3, 2006 01:47 PM

I would like to see a set going down the highway with a nice F/R BBK.

Wired 24/7 Nov 3, 2006 02:30 PM

Um, this is almost as bad as those L337 computer G4MERZ who have clear tower cases with neon lights... (The "ricers" of the computer world)

These belong on a show car ONLY.
