I have a G35 6MT with the 18" wheels and the Brembo brakes and was wondering if anyone knoew of anything that is really cheap and light to use for the autoX and the tracks? Something that I won't care if they get scuffed. YOu know, some 18" wheels that are like the stock steel wheels on a civic. Of course, something a little nicer than that if you know what I mean. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

i would look for 17"s.

little less expensive and alot more selection. there just isnt alot of 18" race rubber around.

I am not sure if there are many 17" rims that are going to fit around the Brembos though....do you guys know of any?

I usually post on freshalloy, but you guys seem to have a lot more knowledge in these areas!! :)

I got these on order from discount tire (discounttiredirect aka Todd )
Enkei RPF-2J, $200 each and about 17lbs. 17x9 +35 with 255/40-17s at all corners. Enkei said they will clear the brembo's.

another good looking one from Discount is the Enkei RP-F1. 17x9 will clear Brembos, weigh about 16 lbs and they are about $225 each.

these are on the top of a very short list for me....

what is the price on those, luke?

Luke@tirerack Mar 19, 2003 08:42 AM

439.00

459.00

Moroccan_Mole Mar 19, 2003 10:20 AM

ouch. those are some expensive track wheels! :(

Luke@tirerack Mar 19, 2003 10:34 AM

you get what you pay for ..... do you have a $50.00 helmet ....

D_Nyholm Mar 19, 2003 11:24 AM

I still like the looks of the enkei's up top.....the price is right too!! If I smash one or bend it, it won't hurt as much to replace it!!! At least I am not running to Pep Boys and picking up some 17"'s for 99.99!!!

Todd@ProDyno Mar 20, 2003 09:10 AM

We just got a few of the RPF1 and RPO2-J in stock for display wheels. Although rather plain...they look better in person and are a great track wheel at the right price.

rpf-1 18" sizing coming soon!
