Got 19's installed and now my PSI gauge wont read anything.
hey guys i just gotr some volk rcing 19" te-37's on my car. After i got them the tire pressure gauge stopped reading anything out and after I drive for like 30 minutes the little exclamation point comes on in the left portion of the gauge cluster. Is this normal?
not sure about the "!" but aftermarket wheels don't have tire pressure sensors, so it won't read anything...its normal...just check it manually when the temperature outside raises or falls by a lot
Did you bother to get the sensors moved from your old wheels to the new ones?
BTW - that's a rhetorical question, because I already know that the answer is "no". When you don't have the sensors installed, after about 30 minutes of driving the warning bell will go off and you'll see the (!) on the dash. Yes, it's normal when you don't have the sensors installed anymore. |
i believe the Tire Pressure Sensors on the stock rims will fit the TE-37s.
I'm pretty sure they do, only reversed lipped rims will not allow for the sensors. Oh, ditto onwhat Dave said, do you have the sensors on?
oh didn't reallize the sensors were on the rims. thanks for that piece of info. So is this something i can do myself? If not where can i get it done and how much? thanx again
You could try, but regardless you would need to remove the tire off the rim. It's the stock valve stem pretty much..
Yeap, you must dismount the old tires, remove the sensor from the old wheel. Dismount the new tires from new wheels, mount the sensors then remount and REBALANCE the new tires/wheels.
Make sure you don't get the sensors mixed up - that is, move them from Front left to front left, front right to front right, etc. If you mix them up, then you'll need to get the dealer to re-register to the car so it picks up and displays it properly. And finally, yes they fit the LE/TE wheels without any problem. |

The sensors are mounted in your old wheels.

Does anyone know if the stock sensors will work on my PIAA Super Rozza rims???
you can always strap the sensor to the inside of the wheel. The sensor doubles as the air valve, but you dont have to use it as that.
