ADR rims

Does anyone know about the quality of these rims?

I am just wonderign because they look good and are set at a low price. Any input would help cause I am about to buy a set.

they are not volks or upper class rims should I say but they get the job done. But if your going to spend around 1300-1500 I would just save a little more for something better but if your getting a killer deal then jump on it.

Unsprung weight is your foe. ADR = unsprung weight, therefor ADR = your foe.

I had a set of ADR's on my volvo. Of all of the Value Wheels out there, they were pretty nice, strong and bend resistant.

You get what you pay for.
You seriously don't know that yet?

You do realize that there is a point of diminishing returns?

I love my ADRs. They are cheap and even if I put curb rashes on them, I could care less. I have 18 inch, 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. I think the fronts were 25lbs each and the rear were close to 28lbs each. But since I dont track the car. it's not big deal.
I remember the last time I curbed my Volks...I kicked myself in the XXX several times a day.
No more pricey wheels for me. Now when I change tires, I change rims as well.

+1 for realism.

DO NOT BUY ADR WHEELS. I had a set of 18in M-sports a couple years ago and within less than a year the clearcoat on the lip of the wheel began to separate from the metal making them look absolutely horrible. I tried to get them covered under warranty and they basically told me to go screw myself.

Product is sub par and customer service is even worse.

That sucks. That's why I like the deep dish rims that have a polished lip instead of clearcoated since they attract so many rocks. Volks FTW. ;)

ZTUPID 05-24-2007 12:28 PM

I have seen that problem

with the clearcoat crapping out. I opted for the polished lip. And they really do have the worst customer service ever. Real buttholes. The wheels are dirt cheap, but mine look nice. When I get bored of them, I'm just gonna give them away.

better check on your "polished" finish again bud, anodized lips aren't much better

I've had my volks twice as long as I had the ADRs...and no issues yet. BUD.

my point is that Volk's aren't just polished as you stated, if they were then they'd be oxidized within a few weeks, they are anodized, which is where your comparison should have been made. Polished wheels can be clearcoated as well ;)
