Default good prices on volks

i notice that a lot of you guys out there own TE-37s and other Volks...what kind of prices did you pay for your wheels? i'm looking into buying one, but i wasn't sure what the street price on those are...i have a friend who has friends with volk sponsorships, so hopefully that'll be pretty cheap

online dealers, rays are difficult to obtain, they are a limited production kind of thing, your not likely to find a set sitting in every place in town. they come, they go, they dont come again for a while. for that reason, online dealers often order from the same supply warehouse, who can order lots of them. better chance to find what you want. as well as get a much cheaper price.

one thing to consider, buying rims locally is not too useful, however buying tires locally can get you perks, free mounting and balancing, as well as free balancing for life, free patches, ect. sometime these little benifits can offset the discount of online tire dealers. but you dont need to buy the rim too for these perks.

The best prices I've found for Volks & other high end overseas wheels are from www.value-caraudio.com. I just haven't decided on which ones. Enkei RC5, Advan TC II or Volk GT-C. As far as tires, I've always found it easier to go local rather than mail order, in case something goes wrong or for service.

I got mine from wheeloptions.com, they are also a discount tire store. I paid $3000 for 18" merc silver TEs, w/ Toyo T1s, center caps, lugs, mounted, and shipped to NC as well.

Gunmetals are a standard color. I believe my Merc Silvers were in the first shipment in the US and are not a standard color for TE37s, thus they cost a little more per wheel.

wait a minute...MATIX, did you pay $3100 for 19" GT-C + tires or 19" TE-37 + tires?

you said Proto is the cheapest around there? do you have the address or the phone number or the email address?

GT-Cs are always less expensive than TE37s. TEs are a little lighter forged one piece design. I think the GT-Cs are 2 piece, forged centers with cast outer wheel. I'm not being argumentative, I just want to be comparing apples to apples with regards to Volk wheel pricing...
