Newb, that's with your Yaris, right? Grow up . . . learn to respect other forum members on this site, especially the ones who have more experience than you on the 350Z. People will disagree on just about everything on here, and you need to respect other people's opinions.

Actually a lot of top autox people do run oversized tires on smaller wheels. #1 reason is if they wish to keep the car in STOCK class, they must keep the wheel size the same as stock but they can put as big of a tire as they can. Seems to me you don't know as much as you think you do.

None of the top autocrossers would run 8" wide wheels with 285's....just those saving money and being cheap. BMW autocrossers run 17x10's with 275's.

+1...I've autoX'd a SCCA B-Stock 350Z on 285 Kumho V710s - it was a very competitive car at Nationals. (with the owner driving  )

You brought a thread back from the dead to make yourself look a tool?

Read what I posted 5 WEEKS ago...and like 4 posts up from yours. :icon22:

Does that make sense to you or did your turbo blow out your vision? ;)

Is it safe to use 275/40 on 8.5" 18's?
Does somebody use this setup not only for AutoX but for Dayly driving also?

SOLO-350Z 02-20-2008 07:47 AM

Several use it on a 8 or 8.5 rim setup without problems.

DEHiCKA 02-20-2008 09:01 AM

Thanks!
Don't you know what ET will be suitable with 275?
Does ET40 fit?
