Wheel spacer question
 

I have a set of what I believe to be a 9" width wheels and, obviously, I'd like to put them on my car. I'm wondering, though, whether I'll need a spacer and if so, what size? Offset is 0.

Sorry if this is a dumb noob question, but I figured I'd ask and look stupid rather than destroy my suspension and look stupider.

Offset is 0 , they are already going to stick out . +15 on the rear is pretty flush , +22 for the front.

Zero offset? That's a lot of lip! LOL

no, no, sorry its not a zero. my bad. The wheels are farther in the wheel wells, but are wider, so that leads me to believe the offset is way different. I'll post some pictures up later when I can get on my computer, instead of the one at school.

Anyway, the wheel's mounting pad is located a 20 or so millimeters farther out from the factory 17s, though I haven't taken any real measurements to be certain.

Forget the spacers and go for a wide body kit.

I need to know what size spacer i need to get the wheel flush with the fender. not just back to stock.

Measure the distance between the edge of the tire and inside of the fender. There you go.

So, theoretically, if it's a 20mm offset wheel, I need to measure the distance from the edge of the wheel to the fender, add that to 20, and that's the spacer size I need, right?

No, you're complicating things. You have a set of wheels on there now. If you want them spaced out 10mm, then you get a 10mm spacer. If you want them moved out 20mm, then you get a 20mm spacer. If you're not sure how much to space them out, visually look at the wheel and how far sunken in it is.

measure from the wheel to the lip of the fender however flush you want them in MM's and buy that sized spacer. If its 15mm to the fender and you want them flush buy a 15mm spacer :)
