Toyo T1: will 245/40/18 fronts fit on the stock (non-Rays) 18's?
It's time to replace my front tires, and I'd really like to go with the Toyo T1-S. The problem is that they don't make them in the stock 225/45 size for the fronts; the closest size to stock that they come in is 245/40/18 (which is only a 1% difference in size.) Will this fit the stock (non-Rays) front wheels, or will it be too wide?
Also, will this screw anything up by changing the original size proportion between the fronts and the rears? Note that I'm keeping my stock 245/45/18 rears for now. Sorry if this has been answered, but I've been unable to find a thread that answers this particular question. Thanks in advance. Gary |

yeah theyll fit, might help with understeer too. not positive why they went thinner up frong while using the same size rims.

I installed T1-S 235/40 Front and 245/40 Rear on my track model. The Toyo's are not the best performance tire you can buy, but, they work very well with this setup. Understeer was significantly reduced. The tires also are lighter than others (including the OEM tires), run quiet and are good in the rain.
I think their unique tread pattern might also help with the feathering issue. 4,000 miles and no feathering yet. Fly |
