BFG G-Force KDW2 NT

Hey guys,

For you KDW2 owners...can you give me your own quick personal review? I heard these are loud...

stogey420time 03-04-2008 10:07 AM

nope not loud to me....others i can't say

gambino 03-04-2008 10:18 AM

I love mine, I dont think they are too loud either.

TheProfessional 03-04-2008 10:59 AM

Best tire for the money, good wet traction, good dry. And they aren't loud... geez.,

ARMSTRONGARMS 03-04-2008 11:11 AM

You many also want to ask if these previous posters had any other tire before the factory's when they put on the bfg's? anything is better then to oem bridgestone IMO, The bfg tread pattern is fugly? looks like 4x4 tread, lol. but it's been stated many times they are good tires, My suggestion is if your getting a good deal on them, grab them.

Mansmind 03-04-2008 11:21 AM

Mine came stock with RE050a. I liked them better for traction vs. the KDW2 I have on the car now. However, I've already put as many miles on the KDWs as I had on the orig. tires and have a LOT left... so it's a trade off.

I'm very pleased with the wet traction the KDWs seem to have. That specific characteristic may be as good or better than the RE050s.

They ARE louder IMO.

marques1 03-04-2008 11:21 AM

they are good tires. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU THEY ARE LOUD BUT DONT REALLY BOTHER ME TO MUCH.

SpeedRcr 03-04-2008 11:22 AM

they get loud after about 12k miles

ke0ki2k 03-04-2008 01:05 PM

great tires so far....a little loud but they last a good while, are great in the rain and pretty good in the dry. good tire for a sports car...obvious as theyre so popular

six3mike 03-04-2008 01:18 PM

I have them on my wifes bimmer. I love em but they are kind of loud.

dkmesa350z 03-04-2008 01:21 PM

I love em. Best combo of dry traction, wet traction, and tread wear for the money. I have had mine for 15K miles and they are quieter than my previous Pirelli's. I imagine they don't get loud until the tread gets low

MethodRN 03-04-2008 01:41 PM

They don't seem that loud to me, maybe my exhaust covers most of the noise. Like others have said, these are the best bang for buck tire. Good overall performance w/ great tread wear rating.

One good thing about this forum is that you can get someone to concur with just about anything.

aloh 03-04-2008 02:56 PM

we agree to disagree.

eagletanggreen 03-04-2008 07:14 PM

tware 03-04-2008 08:02 PM

I've got 24K out of the OEM sizes. Just got a new set in 245-275/35/19, still loud as f'. and yes, my car is dead on w/ alignment. But, they absolutely rock in wet.... deep water, no problem. Here I am leaving for work *today* with 2" of snow on the road (even tho my driveway is clear, frame grab from security cam)

I've simply never been on UHP tires that were this sticky under 50F. Yes, I know I'm a retard for going out with them on, but they didnt let me down. Neither did my last set, they got me home in a wintery mix as well. Although I do not suggest anyone actually try it. I felt like a idiot for not putting all seasons on a few days before.

Made this when I got kdw2s in stock sizes (18). This was before they revised the KDW2 (I'm told). Honestly, my newest set is droning less, but since my tires are much wider, I think it might be a tad louder. I was expecting worse.

I have only had mine for a few months, but have had no problems with them and would buy them again.

jdepe 03-05-2008 09:54 AM

i had these before and right now im on my 2nd set on my 6mt g coupe. and i love them. great dry traction. and surprisingly great wet. traction. they handle almost as good as they do in the wet as they do in the dry. i would buy these again.
