Axis Hiro 19's on my car.

Hi guys, I think I have finally decided on wheat wheels I am getting. I think I am getting Axis Hiro with the Anthracite centers. I am going to get 9.5 255's & 10.5 - 285's. What offset is right for this size? I don't want them sticking out or sitting to far in. A lot of people still seem to be getting it wrong. I don't want to just take the tyre shops word for it either. I went on the Axis site and it just say offset available listed as ANY.

I have read other posts and it say that the offset have a range sometime but I think that is to suit most wheels. Since I am being specific with the make and size off wheel is there a perfect offset?

Thanks :)

You are lucky I'm bored. This Daytona blue is running the same exact wheels and tire sizes you are talking about using.

If you're a member of the site, he has more pics posted.

The Hiro 19x10.5" rears are only avaialbe in a 35 offset. Have no idea why the hell their site doesn't list offsets.

Wow! 305's on the rear! There are so many different widths and choices! You think it would be set in stone by now! I thought 245 & 305 would be a weird combination? I thought that you would ideally run a 255 & 285 combination?

I just got an email from my local supplier and they are saying the offset is +38 Front and rear. Is that good for a 9.5 & 10.5 combination?

The wheels are not going to be flush with the fender with those offsets. You will need to get spacers to make those wheels flush with the fender.

Big Tav 07-16-2008 05:21 AM

I don't want spacers! I can't believe they are saying it is the right offset for a 350Z!

Not flush?? Front or rear?

These are my 10.5 Hiros with 305/30's and no spacers.

These ain't flush enough? Had to tweak the fender lip as it was.

See what I mean? This is one of the toughest subjects on our cars. BTW those 305 are MASSIVE!!!

<----- Stands corrected

All good.....................

GXCLUSIV 07-17-2008 08:54 AM

Damn, that sucks, so what caused that damage? Did you hit a large pothole?

chopperman 07-17-2008 09:06 AM

Axis is working this out with me now. There was a very isolated "bad batch" about 4 years ago...only about 30 wheels. They use a different factory now, so all should be good. Love the look of the wheels too.

Big Tav 07-17-2008 01:23 PM

I heard that was a long time ago too...

jeffie7 07-17-2008 05:17 PM

I have had Hiros for 4 years now, a few months back I noticed one of them had a crack in it, I called axis and within a few days had a new wheel at my door step.

Axis = A+ on the CS end.

My hiros are 18 and 22 offsets.

solidsnake 07-17-2008 08:23 PM

Jeffies cracked because he takes fat chicks on dates.

:icon18: :icon18: :icon18: :icon18: LMAO!!!

Toby-22 12-31-2008 07:49 AM

So let me get this straight, Axis was aware of the problem of the quality of their wheels and they fixed it? And if for some reason i crack a wheel, they will replace them free of charge? I really hope they fixed this cuz im saving up for a set of hiros n i want to be sure my wheels are safe lol.

JETPILOT 12-31-2008 09:20 AM

10.5 +35 is a perfect offset if you are going with a 295 or a 305 tire.

What about 10 +26 with a 275?
