So i know its to late, But i have 19'' Rims, They sent me 35 series tires to go with the rims, is that right? They look a bit to low profile and i hate the extra wheel gap? I dont have to many miles on them, but am thinking of buying new ones? Please help!

Sounds right, but really depends on the widths. Some common 350z fitments would be:
Front: 19x9 with 245/35/19, or 19x9.5 with 255/35/19 Rear: 19x10 with 275/35/19, or 19x10.5 with 285/35/19 |

I use 245/275 35 series on my 19x9.5/10.5....

you just need to lower your car :P
|
You can also use a 40 series tires if you want a bit more sidewall
245/40/19 and 275/40/19 These should be a bit taller height wise than the stock wheels 225/45/18 and 245/45/18 When you use a 35 series you should be very close to the stock heights (of wheel). |

The wheel/tire is essentially the final gear ratio in your drive train, so variations in tire OD's will cause your speedometer to read the car's linear speed inaccurately, as well as cause your odometer to record miles driven inaccurately. Anyway if you want to reduce wheel gap either lower the car, or put a fatter tire on there. My previous rear wheels were 19x10 with 275/35/19 tire and I thought there was too much wheel gap (lowered on Hotchkis springs). My new wheels are 19x10.5 with 285/35/19 tires (i.e. taller sidewall than the 275/35's) and to me the wheel gap is noticeably less. Might just be placebo effect because I know the tires are beefier, but I think it actually made a difference. |

looking at your pictures, the problem may be your offsets.

Or you can run 30 series if you want less sidewall - but will look funny if you do not have a signifigant drop. I run 265/30 and 275/30.

Thanks again, he offset is +35mm front and rear, But your absolutly right i need to lower it!!!
|
That's right. Your wheelgap is because your car isn't lowered enough. Get on it.

and if u decide to lower it more...the wheel fitment will be honda-esque (sunken in) as they are already sunken in now...lower it chunk some 15-25 mil spacers up in there and ur set

35 series is fine. I wouldn't go for 40. All you need is a nice agg. drop and your set.
