275 on a 11inch wide wheel
Just wondering if anyone has pics of a 275 on an 11inch wide wheel. I know it would be stretched but im curious what it would look like.

It's not as stretched at you might think. Here are 275/30/20's on an 11" wide iForged wheel (my car). I would think it being a 30 series tire versus a 35 series tire would make it look more stretched as well.
Attachment 422748 Nothing extreme like whats in the aggressive and stretched tire thread. That said I'll be going with at least a 285/30/20 for my next tire if I keep these wheels, the current tires are what the previous owner put on. Sorry for the chitty picture. |

These were in the aggressive stretch thread. OP said they're 275/30. He hasn't put them on the car yet.. |
The stretch will depend on the wheel/tire combo. I had 275/35/19 Toyo T1R on 19x11 low offset ssr ms1's and it was a good stretch, just enough to clear the fenders. I'll post pics tonight. Going to Yokohama Advan sports, they seem to run taller and more square than the Toyos.

It definitely depends on the tires, mine were Toyo T1S's (yes, OLD tire). Although there is a slight stretch, I don't consider it extreme by any means. Some 275's will truly be 275's while some run much wider and are more like 295's. Some just have sidewalls that are shaped differently or are just larger or smaller giving them a difference appearance that may also affect fitment and/or necessitate pulling/cutting fenders.
Edit - Forgot to mention that when I needed new front tires I got Falken FK452's and they run much more taller and square shaped than the T1S I had on the fronts prior. I hate the 452's and can't wait to get rid of them. On top of their goofy shape and sidewalls they don't grip to my liking. |
wow it really isnt that stretched

Nobody looks at my 275's and says "holy crap is that tire going to fall off" or anything crazy like that. It looks pretty much normal. :dunno: LOL |

Nope...the guys in the aggressive wheels and stretched tires thread would be using a 245 I'm sure, maybe a 225. 295 is really more of a standard fitment on an 11" wheel, though 305 would probably be ideal and everything up to 315 COULD be used if the bodywork/offset would allow it.

Good response, but I made some subtle changes.
And sorry for leaving offset out of the equation, I know on the internet if you forget any words you'll be corrected within minutes for your oversight. ;) |
ya its a lil more stretched/about the same as a 245 on a 9.5" wheel, which is pretty standard.
|
yeah i'm going from 8.5"/10.5" to 9.5"/11.5" and have been trying to figure out what size to go with. i like the way my 245s sit on the 9.5s but i cant decide what's gonna look good on the 11.5" in relation to that.

Here's a 275 Goodyear on a 19x11. If your rears are going to be 19x11.5 or 20x11.5 I'd suggest 295/30
