Coilovers :p

To me duckeee's tire gap (or lack of) is ideal but hes on a 275/35. Youd need to go even lower than him for your fender to reach that part of the tire...

Also I wouldnt do a springmount mod since youre rear tires are actually shorter than your front. Your fronts already level out your car a bit, so you might end up with reverse rake. I have some uncut mounts if you want to experiment though.

Overall, sweet ride

OkashiZ 10-29-2011 07:35 PM

The rears appear to be higher than the front, I would be cutting 1/4 inch rather than the 1/2 that most people do from what i read. and 275 is easier to reach the fender than a 295? not sure i understand that.

-Trav- 10-29-2011 09:35 PM

Hes on a 35 and youre on a 30, which means your tire is .6" shorter. Given the same ride height youll have about .3" less gap on a 275/35.

OkashiZ 10-29-2011 09:44 PM

Got it. I measured from the floor to the to of the wheel well in my garage on front and back and my rear is exactly 3/4in higher.

SoCal07HR 10-29-2011 11:44 PM

Sounds like the 1/2 inch spring mount mod will have you sitting pretty.

trying to get my nismo brother to out do me with meaty tires...so I posted this pic...

EDIT:

Also to show we are almost at same ride hieght. I would to guesstimate that I'm about close to an inch lower. Just goes to show that sizing up tires makes a huge difference in appearance, and some times all that is needed...

Eibach Camber Arms in the rear and a very good roll. Relatively short rear tire in the 295 30. I had alot of arm left so...i dun know bro i am just no where near rubbing.

I guess that makes sense for sportlines. My front is 1/2 inch lower than the rear, but then again I have 60k on them.

If youre that high in the back I say chop that spring mount. Post pics when you get it done!

Will do  I should have time to do it Friday

OkashiZ 11-01-2011 02:00 PM

Did the spring mount mount mod today. I wanted to be careful so i didn't end up with the front higher than the back, but because of that I ended up cutting too little. I'm going to cut a little more and then take pictures.

OkashiZ 11-01-2011 06:31 PM

nvm, i just measured. the front and back are already even. looks like coilovers it is them :D

Also, what is missing here? It seems like there's something missing in the hub..

Your missing a rubber plug that hides the adjustment for your hand brake shoes..

Looks like that rear gap got a little better, looks good.

OkashiZ 11-03-2011 07:18 PM

SoCal- Thank you. Im still on stock shocks, and am wondering if adjustable shocks such as Koni's will allow me to go a little lower. I would like coilovers, but they're just not necessary for what the car is used for.

R6- Thank you, I need to tighten my ebrake so thats good to know that how i do it. Is it an issue that I should worry about, or is it not effecting anything?

KingBaby 11-03-2011 08:06 PM

Thank you . I wanted to go lower, but the more I look at it the more content I am. It may be in my head but it feels like I'm turning a few more heads

You can probably run up to 305's with the right offset

I'm running 345 but I widened the car a bit

255/35/19 KDW's front with 20mm Spacers. Should have gone with 10mm.

295/35/19 KDW's rear. Perfect.

305s easily in the rear. I have run 315 rear without pulling fenders, and 305 up front without touching fenders either.

yeah im running 305s now. inquired about 345s on what type of set up

11.5 or 12.0 rim on what offsets... thinking a -5 to a +5 might work.

That's out of my area of expertise, but I don't see it happening without a flare or big fender pull, which I have no experience with. Most of my experience with big tires is on 10.5" wheels and high offsets. The +5 to -5 means little to me with modified fenders unless you can give some details on how much pull/flare you expect.

Why do you need 345s anyway? Grip can be obtained with less for sure.

True on grip, but I personally love the Falken 452s, I get about 25-30K out of each set. Thank God for camber kits!!

I am going to do rear fender flares or a Z widebody fender kit molded into my Gs fenders to run some -40s or -45 here soon.

Im breaking loose with the 305s at the top of 3rd, and I just added 4psi more to my supercharger (2.87 down to the new 2.62 pulley, plus rpm increase/meth kit), so I think the bigger the better. I just like the idea of running the same size tire as a Viper or Tracked Porsche.

315s could be had I think but not on a 10.5 rim. my 305s are sitting pretty flush as it is.

I might go 18s so I can get an 18x14 or 15s in a Work Meisters Set up..
