sometimes I end up back in old threads.. and I see old posts.. and I wonder wtf I was doing or dealing with that day lol. smh.

It gets real fun when I go WAY back and see old posts I made before I had proper PT for my back.. my "on pain meds" posts are even weirder lol.
Such is life.

I know theyre slightly stretched, but I'm putting on 285's next week, and after a wash I couldn't resist.

Default Going to 305/30/19

Here is what is strange, I hear about having to go with additional camber and rolling with 305/30/19s. Right now I am sitting with 295/35/18s with Tein S tech lowering springs in addition to an Energy Suspension polyurethane spring perch which is a good half an inch narrower than the stock spring perch and look at the gap I still have. At this point I don't think I should be worried about rolling an camber at this point. My new wheels are going to be 25mm offset as apposed to 27mm I have now. Should I be worried about this fitment? BTW fronts will be 9.5 22 mm 275/30/19

Current setup 295/35/18

New setup 305/30/19 and 275/30/19 front

BTW, these TSW Portier's 18x10.5 and 18x8.5 with Nitto NT05s 295/35/18 and 245/40/18 with less than 4000 miles will be up for sale soon if you are interested.

I'm trying to decipher exactly what the mystery is here. You've mixed heights, widths, offsets into a single question here, only one of which has anything to do with your primary concern, wheel gap. At least I think that's the question you're raising.... So, here's the 411 on the wheel gap...

Here's stock (stock 17s or 18/19 Nismo, don't matter. Rolling diameters are within fractions of the 18s shown):

Size............Rolling Diameter (in.)
225 45% 18 25.97 Stock Front Reference Size
245 45% 18 26.68 Stock Rear Reference Size

Here's your sizes:

Current (?)
Unknown front size
295 35% 18 26.13 Rear -0.55" delta

Where you're headed:
275 30% 19 25.50F -0.47" delta
305 30% 19 26.20R -0.48" delta

Of course there's going to be a gap.

And how exactly does a "narrower" spring perch factor into this? What purpose does it serve? Narrower spring set? Methinks you mean "thinner", yes? (As in flatter with spring sitting lower, right?)

In any event, good luck with those size tires; particularly getting them up to optimum running temperature where they'll be capable of doing their jobs.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, what you said makes sense. I spent quite a bit of time and research to make sure my new setup didn't upset the VDC so of course my gap is pretty much going to be the same. My rear spring perch mod did help me level out the ride to about 1 inch in the rear which is what I was shooting for. Bottom line is that I didn't want to have to roll the rear fenders with my new setup. For now this is a daily driver and it looks like I won't have to. As far as warming up these fat tires, well, summers in my neighborhood hovers between 90 to 100 degrees with high humidity. I live in a mountain valley and will travel about 45 minutes in curves and hairpin curves before I get to a straight stretch of road, which is precisely why I have spent more on suspension and tires over engine mods at this point for my application, so far I'm super happy with the returns on my investment. I truly appreciate you insight as you clearly know your stuff, and that is why I spend time in these forums before I pull the trigger on some of these upgrades.

295 325
12 -7 and 14 -78

She will probably push a bit, but we shall see. I didn't use a stupid wide tire out back, so maybe not too bad

finally got all the air bag nonsense removed .. back to static w fortune Auto, swift and voodo13 gear.
Car hasn't been aligned yet, but we did as best we could to eyeball it and at least keep it even side to side.. will make aligning it easier soon. By looking at it, id imagine I'm still a hair more than factory camber here.. but not for long.

Will start with factory spec camber and toe in the rear, perhaps a hair less camber than factory spec.. low side if anything..
Front will keep some camber, and we will play w the caster a hair to see what tire wear and contact is like up front under use.
Since the flares need to rebuilt to fit the wheel and tire combo anyway/.. might as well align it, drive it a bit, get it set up where it feels good, and then see where the camber and whatnot is at, and THEN finish the fiberglass work to fit the tire.

Bumping this thread with possibly the widest tire ever put on a stock body Z (meaning fenders are pulled but no flares/widebody).

Car is still aired up but when lowered it'll fit perfectly.
Final sizes are 19x8.5 +11 and 19x11.5 +45
