Like I said, whatever tickles your pickle. I like my women to have a round yet athletic shaped *** not too big and not flat, some guys like em flat as a NHRA drag strip and some like them so big that they have their own gravitational orbit.

Yeah well thanks man, I had also just put 2K into body work repairs and paint cause on top of that my Z was vandalized about 2 months back. So I was trying to save money any way possible and pretty much offset the price of my new rims by selling my two good aniversary edition wheels. In the end I'm happy

just curious from the owners of the Chromium black XXR wheels what they look like. from pictures i have googled and videos i have seen it seems like one picture shows them almost looking completely chrome and others show a dark chrome look that still has that dark black to it.
Just tough to call from the pictures i have seen
Thanks

Here is a shot of three wheels under the florescent lights in my garage against a black car.
The wheel on the right is an XXR chromium black...
Middle is a silver painted wheel....
Left is a gun metal gray wheel....
I really didn't want chromium black, as the Z is black and I wanted silver for contrast.....but the rim guy offered these to me for $500 out the door...so I took a hard look (only saved like $150, but I'm cheap).
In the sun they look close to the gray with a high mirror finish, but at night without the sun they do look darker, as everything does. The inside of barrels are painted flat black....that contributes to their darkness as well.
They balanced right up....not a bad quality wheel for $125 per. Thank god for China, right?
The chromium is just a "painting like" process so they can always be stripped for $20 per wheel.....
Hope the PICs help.

I get everything off craigslist.....
I swear I could build a whole car from craigslist and home depot.
Wheels came from local vendor who advertises on CL....Rim and Tire Center in Garden Grove...

Tires and balancing came from my tire guy in Santa Ana (from CL too)...but he has about the same prices as the guy in GG....

XXR paint chipping issues
Has anyone had any issues with excessive paint chipping on their XXR wheels? I recently bought a set of XXR 530s in chromium black for my Z and I love the way they look but the problem is that after only ~50 miles of driving, paint is starting to chip in certain areas (see pictures). These were definitely not from when the tires were mounted. If they look like this after 50 miles, I can't imagine what they will look like after 5,000. Another thing I noticed is that when I took off the lug nuts for the first time with these wheels, all the black chromium paint came off where the lug nut mates with the surface of the hole (you can kind of see it in the first picture.. the paint is all chewed up). Is this normal?
My neighbor who has had a set of XXRs in chromium black on his SRT-4 for the last 3 years (20k miles) has had no such issues to date and he swears that the wheels I got are knock offs of XXRs with a cheap paint job. I got the wheels from MotorsportsR (sgmotoring on ebay) which XXR says is one of their biggest dealers. I never would have thought anyone would knock off such a low cost wheel but I suppose it's possible.. anyone ever hear of this?
Finally, I would love to know what the weight of this wheel is supposed to be (I assume if this was a fake wheel there would be a weight difference). If anyone has weighted their XXR 530 18x9.75" +20 single-drilled wheels, please let me know the weight. Thanks!
