Help painting polished iForged Aero's

Hi guys,

So i traded my SF-winnings awhile back for some crappy offset iForged Aero's +$$ since needed the extra cash for Spring Break ha..

Im not much of a fan of polished wheels. So i wanted to know if it was possible to spray paint these wheels flat/gloss black whichever black..

but i wanted to know what steps i would take if they're different from spray painting OEM wheels? and what paint would be the best?

Thanks guys

powder coating , will last you longer and looks better. I would go with a flat black.

Ya i know that powder coating would last me longer, but i dont plan on keeping these wheels for long and they're not in tip top shape already...

You are not going to paint the wheels so why ask?

if your not keeping them why not just leave them alone. They look great on your car the way it is. Plus you'll get more for them when you decide to sell if you leave them with their original color.

Yea, just leave them alone since your gonna get rid of them.

Flo-ridaZ33 Jul 5, 2010 05:53 PM

leave em... why pay money for something your not going to keep very long.

Ruthless18x Jul 5, 2010 06:02 PM

Yeah I'd leave them alone. I'm sure some kid would buy them on here or craigslist.

Are you saying you are going to rattle can these?

Zgrabin Jul 5, 2010 08:35 PM

Why spray paint and get nothing for them at least if you leave them you can get something to put towards your next setup but it seems like your mind is made up already.

fallenromeo Jul 7, 2010 01:40 PM

what are the specs on the wheels?

moforeynolds Jul 7, 2010 02:08 PM

I know you don't really care for them, but you are wanting to rattle-can a set of forged wheels?! Come on man. As a sidenote, I remember the previous owner of those wheels will to trade anybody and everybody to get rid of them.

If you just want to destroy something, then our opinions are of no use to you. But crappy offset or not, those are still well-crafted wheels and should bring a fair and reasonable price if you just leave them alone.

Flo-ridaZ33 Jul 10, 2010 12:13 PM

They look good... and they're rebuildable too, its a win win.

FilthyZ Jul 10, 2010 01:46 PM

You could always fix the offset if they are a 3 piece wheel :) Just contact iForged, they can make new barrels with a different offset. IMO that would be a better way to make the wheel nicer for you and your car. Not to mention more people would be attracted to them. But no way would i ever rattle can them. Do it right or don't do it at all.
