Offset question (Help please)
3 Attachment(s)
I am going to be ordering new wheels soon and I want to make sure I get it right.
I want to keep the same look as I have now as far as flushness. The wheels I have now are Front:8.5X18 with offsets of +38 (I think its +38) with a 255X40X18 tire, Rear:9.5X18 with offsets of +38 (I think +38) with a 275X40X18 tire. I also have 20mm spacers front and rear. The new wheels I am getting are Front:9.5X19 with an offset of +25 with 255X35X19 tires, the rear is: 10.5X19 with offsets of +20 with 285X35X19 tires. Looking at the pics I posted, do you think I will need any spacers with my new set up to get to where I am now with my old set up. Thanks for your help. |
Your new setup will be more flush. You're going with wider tires, less offset and wider wheels, it'll look better.

Information in this thread is relevant to what you are asking. It should help you figure out wheel width and offsets. https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-...ok-help-2.html |
Not sure. You can always remove the spacers right?

18x8.5 +18 18x9.5 + 18 (with spacers)
19x9.5 +25 19x10.5 +20 Because you have an extra inch front and rear thats going to make your wheels sit out another 13mm ( rounded up) from your old set up.. so think of it as adding a 13mm spacer to what you had before with your old spacers included. If it helps you picture things better, your new set up would look as if you were 18x8.5 +10 and 18x9.5 +5 in your "old wheels". So as mentioned, theyre going to be more agressive looking and more flush with your fender. I hope my maths right on that.. its late and I'm at work :icon14: |
I mean 18x9.5 +5 rear
|
My math says your new wheels will sit +5.5mm out in front and +10.5mm out in the rear (plus an extra 5mm in tire width).
At your ride height, that may start to appear pokey in the rear IMO. |
