rubbing fender liner
Here is my setup:
Front: 18X9.5 +12 with 255/40/18
Rear: 18x10.5 +15 with 275/40/18
Tires are brand new Nitto Invos (installed Monday). The car is running the Tokico D-Spec shock/spring kit which lowers the car ~1" front and rear. I have the SPC rear camber arm/toe bolt installed, no kit up front.
The rear fenders are rolled and I am currently running -1.5 degrees of camber on both the front and rear.
My problem is whenever I hit a decent sized dip my rear tires rub. I verified that the tires are actually rubbing on the liner and not the rolled lip because there is a long thin black rub mark directly inside the lip on the liner.
I searched and found a lot of people running this type of setup dropped as much if not more then me that claim not to rub, so I am baffled as to why I am. The rubbing is not severe at all, but I would obviously rather not rub at all. My first thought to fix this is to increase the negative camber to between -2 and -2.5 degrees, but I would like another opinion. Thanks

even tho its 275 tires, different brand have different sidewall configurations. Some are more rounded edge some are more bulky. In your case I think the only way is to squeeze more negative camber at the back.

you might wanna swerve next time
you might wanna slow down next time
you might wanna buy a size down in the side wall of your tires
you might wanna raise it up...
I'm more than likely lower than you and I don't rub...19x10 275/30...I'm saving to size up to 35 and well not rub at that size either...

You are probably right, because I had 35 series tires on before switching to the 40 series and the 35s never rubbed. I wanted the 40 series to get the overall diameter closer to stock and didn't think they would rub since I got my fenders rolled. Alas I didn't even think about rubbing the fender liner as I was just worried about the lip. Eh, live and learn. Looks like I am back in the market for 35 series tires. Thanks

Invo's run wide, just bump the rear camber up to -2 (still in spec) and your good. Don't be lame and throw front tires on the back of your car (275/35-18 is a front tire for a Z)

I ran INVO's on mine with a 25mm drop with a 10.5 +20 with -2.1 and could have pushed it out a bit more. Now i still run a 275/40 but at +10 (different tire) and clear by 3mm at full compression with -2 camber.

I would have to run a 295 in the rear to make up for the diameter loss of the 35s over the 40s to get closer to the stock size, and. I am not entirely opposed to this, but I have no need for a tire that wide except for the sole purpose of avoiding rubbing. I am not entirely sure I could even fit a tire that size inside the lip with my current stance. Maybe if I switched from Nitto Invos to Vredestein Sessantas, which I have read come somewhat undersized. Either way, I'm getting some more negative camber put on today, so hopefully that fixes it and I don't have to think about it anymore.

update. I needed -2 1/2 RL and -2 5/8s RR camber to stop rubbing. I am not very happy with this, but that is just the way it is. I now basically have two options:
1) Stick with this setup even though I will get more inner tread wear and switch to different brand/sizes once these tires wear out
2) Immediately sell all 4 tires and get a different setup since the tires are less then a week old with zero wear so I can probably get most of my money back. The only problem here is which rear size to get: a 275/40/18 in a different brand that runs smaller or Vredestein Sessantas in 295/35/18 which supposedly run small also (although I'm not sure if a 295/35 will fit).
I'll take pics of my current setup tomorrow. Any comments are welcome, thanks

To the OP, jack up the front corner of the car. That will compress the rear suspension on the opp side to see how close you are. I wouldn't doubt if the alignment tech added way to much camber.

Hes probably rubbing on the arch as to moves toward the middle of the car, only way to fix is either tube your rear fenders, cut and then reweld them, get a smaller tire, or stiffer spring rates. roller cant solve that problem

Dude, i run a 10.5 at +10 , with 275/40's and used to have INVO's. He needs to do what i mentioned.
