ok, on my never ending "affordable but nice" wheel search....I've ALSO found THESE

Now fitment, they come in a 19 x 8.5 +20/+32 (fronts)
And a 19 x 9.5 +20/+32/+45

I'm assuming +20 front AND back would be the go from those choices?

Anyone see clearance issues with brembos?

Also what tyre size should I be looking at to avoid VDC issues and guard rubbing issues?

I see no problem. For tires you can run from 235 to 265 mm.

Brembo fitment is something you should definitely try to research. Could go either way.
I would go with 9.5 +20 front and rear if that is the widest they offer. Stagger the tire size and/or run a rear spacer to keep the staggered look.

not a bad looking option for affordable wheels...:thumbup: hopefully they'll work with your brembos

Looks like they come in 19x9.5 +20 front and rear, but i would look into the new XXR wheels for much better sizes.

Sure I'd LOVE to spend $5K+ on the best light weight wheels money can buy, but we're not all blessed in the same ways ;)

You are correct, you want to get 19x8.5 +20 front and 19x9.5 +20 rear based on the wheel sizes you listed above. These will best suit the 350Z and will actually fit really well, the silver 350z you posted appears to be running this exact setup.

Tire sizing will be a 245/35/19 front and a 275/35/19 rear. This setup is a match to the OEM tire diameter and will have no VDC or rubbing issues.

I can't comment on Brembo caliper clearance as I don't have experience with this exact wheel model. By looking at the pictures and overall design of the wheel I don't think it would hit (front is fairly flat and the rear concave) the caliper but I can't say for sure. Would be best to contact the vendor you plan to purchase from as this is advice they should be able to provide.

my next step will be to give them my required tyre sizes and see what kind of package deal they'll do.

I'll also ask them about the Brembo's and worst case, hope they will have some in stock for a test fit.

Wait a sec...on tyres you said "245/40/18 front and a 275/40/18 rear"
but the wheels are 19's...so was the 18 a typo or should it be /35/19 ?

+20 is probably the better offset for our Zs

brembo clearance depends on spoke spacing. if you have someone with these wheels, you can cut out the stoptech 13" bbk templates to see if these will clear those.. i think the 13" ST40 and the OE Brembos are the same placement within the steering knuckle, and caliper widths are very similar..

I'm also waiting for a mates visit to Japland. He owns a workshop and often comes back with goodies so I may get lucky with some top quality 2nd hand Jap Rims.

Sadly the only dealer I can find for Tenzo in West Australia doesn't seem to list the type M :(

Im guessing the ones to go for would be the 19x8.5 +17 and 19x10 +22

The wheels look decent. I'd go with 19x9.5 w/ +20mm front and rear. And for tires, run 245/35 and 275/35

I have a few of pics of Advan RS on my Z in my album if you're considering them.

you wish those tenzos look like the advan, the wheels you want look like a curled up centipede with all those spokes. and how can i hate on you when im running volks and your here starting threads of wanting to buy tenzos :dunno: Cheap guy with horrible taste = what your Z will look like


to help you out, go with the lowest offsets possible. theyre all conservative but it wont be too bad. 245/35 and 275/35 would be my tire choice as well.

Actually we ARE on the same page. I also noted the less spokes on the ADVAN RS and they ARE my prefered wheel. They're awesome.

I'm also still tossing up between concave designs and the more traditional "5 spokes with dish"

in which case Volk SF Challenge would be nice, but AXIS SHINE's whould be cheaper while still looking ok. (But I can't get them in Australia :dunno: )

As said, I'll see what Magic my mate travelling to Japland can pull out of his hat.

I still "Like" the original wheels I posted (Well I dont hate them with the passion some on here seem to express), but thos Tenzro-R Type M's do actually look HEAPS better. Very grateful for that input.

And it seems my Local dealer CAN get the Type M's in (Version 2) as they have them listed in a special......so that may well be the wheels to go for.
