Alignment Question
Hope i'm posting this in right part of the forum...
Correct me if i'm wrong on this part but i believe the FSM gives 0.04 - 0.08in total Toe in as the correct alignment spec. Trouble is every alignment shop i've ever been to including dealers print out their reports in degrees. Does anyone know what the 0.04 - 0.08in range translates to in degrees? (i'm also trying to find out what my spec translates to in inches) I could probably do the math myself to get a rough answer but i think someone here must know more accurately. |
I can get back to you tomorrow when I go into work.

Don't recall the advertised spec. For the street 1 degree in good. Any more will aid turn in but eat tires.

The Service Manual lists toe-in in distance (millimeter & inches) as well as angle (degree minute & decimal degree). The following is from the 2007 manual for the front suspension:
Total toe-in Distance Minimum 0 mm (0 in) Nominal 1 mm (0.04 in) Maximum 2 mm (0.08 in) Angle (left wheel or right wheel) Degree minute (Decimal degree) Minimum 0° 00′ (0.00°) Nominal 0° 02′ 30″ (0.04°) Maximum 0° 05′ (0.08°) |
