What is the closest touch-up for OEM 18's.
 

Does anyone know what the closest touch-up paint for OEM 18" wheels are? I have a 35th anniversary.

There doesn't seem to be any definite answers for which paint gets the closest match.... I tried a bottle that looked the same on the bottle and while wet, but once it dried it dried lighter in color than the wheel.

This is why I dread tire shops. Get new tires, get complimentary scuff.

Ah,the challenge to find the perfect match of a touch up paint.
When I had my OEM wheels,I used a combo of GM ultra silver and
galaxy silver.Most touch up paints will dry lighter.To get an exact match
its really a trial&error process.Buy a few small touch up bottles and start
blending.I did this with touch up for my Silverstone car.Somehow I came up with a combo thats a perfect match.

Yeah tire shops suck. I take mine to discount tire, and I swear it's like they're racing to see how fast that can torque the lugs.

Anyway, from what I've "heard," it's hard to come by silver paint without flakes in it. If that's true, it'd be damn near impossible to match the 18-inch oem wheels.

its proabably next to impossible. the tire shop around here charges a premium for the color and they still are only able to get it to 85% at best. forget what kind of silver they called it maybe hyper silver that u have to mix not sure
