Default 275/40/18 Front, 275/40/18 Rear: Any probs?

Ok i ordered a set of 18x9.5 +22 wheels all the way around. Plan on running 275/40/18 all the way around too. Going to be using this setup for autocross and HPDE's...it's a compromise, can't afford to have one 17" set for autox and one 18" set for HPDE's and street.

For those running 275's in the front, what are your wheels specs (width, offset) and do you have any issues with rubbing the inner wheel well? Thanks in advance.

Man is your steering going to be hard at low speeds, that is going to put more load on your power steering, I noticed a difference with 245's so I can only imagine with 275.

Exactly, I used the 245's at Sebring once and the powersteering overheated.

I use 274/40-17 all around at HPDEs and track events... have not noticed any problems with power steering overheating, but that does not mean it won't happen.

Probably not a bad idea to upgrade the power steering fluid cooler. Just one more thing to spend money on!!

You're giving up the stagger. I don't know which model you have. If it's the base, probably no issue. If anything above the base, the VDC or Slip control could give you some grief.

Exactly. . . . the VDC assumes a certain ratio in tire widths from the front and the rear. 245/40 18 front and 275/40 18 rear is perfect. . . as are the factory tires.

I have the enthusiast...no VDC. And as any autocrosser or road racer knows, first thing after ignition is turn TCS off. I made the mistake of leaving the TCS on for a run...that really sucked. I am more looking for balance and having the same setup front and rear is more ideal for autox which i spend most of my time with (HPDE's few and far between).

Like mentioned above, I run 275/40s all around and I boiled my power steering fluid at a short, turn-intensive track. There was fluid all over the underside of my hood, so I got the PS cooler.

That's enough for me...going to get the PS cooler.

Have you been on the track since? Did it make a difference?

Ordered my Power Steering Cooler Kit from Performance Nissan. Great prices. The other dealership in Cerritos was almost 50% (yes 50%) higher and they wouldn't match.
