will these aftermarket lugs fit on all 350z oem rims?

or will my wheels fall off causing me to be on the 10 o'clock news?

yes, i know the lug nut size is 12x1.25
but in regards to shapes, i heard something about acorns and peanuts and cashew shaped lugnuts theres a difference on the 370z and u must use the oem lugs or you will die, so was just trying to figure out if its the same with the 350z. i have seen these lug nuts on a 350z here on the forum but he wasnt rocking any oem rims he had some aftermarket shoes on.

thanks for the help..
....i love you
lets hang out some time...

Yes they work

jhowald93 05-14-2013 05:08 PM

as long as they are 12x1.25, have aftermarket open ended extended lugs for my DPEs..

Bmurray350z 05-14-2013 05:10 PM

just make sure they have a 60 degree conical seat. pretty sure thats right iirc

i was told its not a good idea to use aftermarket lugs with oem wheels. never knew exactly why except it having to do with the diameter of the lugs on the oem wheels are a tad different size or something

jhowald93 05-14-2013 05:53 PM

As long as the thread count/size is the same there shouldnt be an issue..Stock wheels or aftermarket, lug stud is the same

peacker 05-14-2013 07:28 PM

I got those before they suck. They got stripped and ended up buying oem

jhowald93 05-14-2013 09:19 PM

Must have over torqued or tightened at an angle then

SQuaLZ 05-15-2013 02:24 AM

They dont look like acorn lugs. If they are not acorn, dont get them.

Flashy lug nuts on stock wheels might look a little odd.

True, the threads are the same, but the mating surface between the lug nut and wheel may not be. Aftermarket are not necessarily the same as OEM, nor are all aftermarket the same as each other.

Or, they could just be sh!tty quality Chinese alloy that's soft as butter. I wouldn't ever take a chance on such a safety-important piece of my car.

theres a reason why its usually recommended to use aftermarket lugs nuts with aftermarket wheels. u almost never see aftermarket wheels with oem lug nuts installed. atleast i havent lol

The seat on the OEM 350z wheels is a tapered (acorn) seat. The 370z and most other Nissan OEM wheels is a MAG-style seat. Acorn-style lug nuts do not torque down properly on a MAG-style seat since you have a tapered lug nut tightening down onto a flat seat. I would highly suggest against using Acorn lug nuts on MAG wheels without some kind of adapter:
