Locked in my order Dec 1st!
After researching further, I went with the Bridgestone S-04 pole position. From Discount tire/Americas tire locally. Best overall price installed with everything.

Had no shipping charge, and also a cyber Monday/Black Friday special.

Their website was being finicky Monday night and not showing the sizes I needed, and the $100 back deal expired at midnight -- so I twisted their arm and they were able to get me the $100 mail in rebate that expired. Also waived the charge for swapping over the tire pressure sensors.

There is a backorder of 30+days on the rear 275 width tires-Bridgestone is waiting on a shipment from overseas, and confirmed 30 days wait!
Luckily, Discount tire was able to find one of their locations in North California and in Texas that had the rears in stock, and is getting them from northern California with no 30 day wait.

Anxious to get them installed, now to find a good alignment shop.

Pickup the 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 wheels today, +22 offset all around.

Don't even get me started on the stretched tire 'trend'. I will say, to each his own, but not only do I personally find it utterly ridiculous -- it can be extremely dangerous.

What happened to the good old days where getting the most rubber on the ground was the best thing?!
There is this little thing called 'traction'!!

If I could have, I would have gone with 315s rear and wider in the front -- but I did not want to roll the fenders on my unmolested Z!

I went with Varrstoen ES1, they are replica wheels but have a good reputation. I am going to keep my stock wheels and throw some sticky track rubber on those.

As they say, "If you're going to rock reps, at least get the name brand reps." Varrstoens seem to be a rational alternative to a set of $5000 BBS wheels.

Or double pressed black TE37s.

On that note, why didn't Volk just call that model "Expresso, no room, thanks."?

I could not justify buying wheels for that much $ - when I literally could buy Varr reps and a turbo kit for about the same price! Have not heard about anyone having issues with Varrs, & they are quite popular with the Z community.

As long as you don't put BBS centercaps on the wheels, everything is good!
That would be like the people putting the S600 badges on S320's in the past, or Challenger Hellcat badges on V6's-- arghh!

Representing it as something that it isn't!

Before I saw my wheels for sale, I saw a set of Varrs that I loved! I sent a PM to the member that posted the pics. I was asking him questions about his wheels. I loved them.

Are you installing new TPMS for the wheels? If so, what brand are you using? I ask because I have the same set of wheels as you sitting in my garage waiting to be installed. Still trying to decide between tire sizes of 245/35F-275/35R or 255/35F-285/35R. I dont like the stretch look either but I have my Z lowered on Hotchkis Springs (lowered 1/2" to 3/4"). But my main hang up is buying the proper TPMS for the wheels that will also work with the Z's computer system. Real curious on what your solution is..?

I can see why, what color is your Z? and which is your favorite one of them as they are?

I did not install new TPMS -- my solution is that I had them swap over my TPMS from my stock wheels. Saved some $ in not buying new TPMS sensors too.
They did the swap over for free- unmounted stock tires, pulled out the TPMS, then remounted tires - all for free after haggling with them.
Also did a 'rebuild kit' on the TPMS - which they rebuild the setup, with new gromets/gaskets, o-rings and new valve stems etc.
TPMS is working flawlessly since install.

Are your fenders rolled? What offset are you running? same +22 on all four that I have?

From all other threads & info I have learned from owners & websites -- the 255s will not fit in the front without fender rolling, and the 285s will definitely hit in the rear fenders without rolling.
Apparently some brand 255 tires will fit, as some companies 'run small' and others are 'true width' The ones that are a 'true' 255 will rub/hit without fender modification.
Not sure how your hotchkis springs will affect this, also if you are running any camber.

I am very happy with how they look--I knew they would look fantastic, but they look even better than I even imagined!

The 245s and 275s do not have a 'stretched' look. They do not have a perfectly straight sidewall but also at the same time do not look "stretched" to me. I was very happy to see this once the tires were mounted.
I would have gone 285 if I did not have to roll the fenders though.

My z is black. Out of all 3, i have to say my fav is the te37 double pressed black. Matches the car ao well. The 57fxx are really agressive looking and the ce28rt are the lightest. Its hard to pick haha
