Stock tires and new wider wheels
 

Hey guys I have stock tires on my car currently with the OEM 5 spoke wheels. Its a 2006 base model. I hydroplanned into a curb and need a new wheel OEM wheel. I figured id buy new wheels now and still have stock tires. The wheels im looking at are an 8.75 and 9.75. Ive never "stretched" tires and dont know if this would be considered stretching. I appreciate all the help in advance.

Should be good if you look at tire specs on a site like tire rack it will tell you an acceptable range for width for a specific tires.

Ideally max width should be 8-9in inches but if your getting new wheels I wouldn't cheap out just to use your oem sized tires...

Stock 18 inch sizes will be fine for up to a 9.5 and 10.5 combo. Sure it's out if limits and will look goofy, but will work till you get the proper tires for your new setup.
