Default Do I need extended studs for a 10mm spacer

Hey guys just wanted your opinions real quick. I recently upgraded my brakes from the base to the oem brembos. They look great but my wheels (varrestoen ES2) rub on the caliper if i put them on. A 10mm spacer will clear the front brembo brakes just fine. Do you guys think i will have enough thread on the stock studs to safely keep my wheels on with the extended lug nuts? Some of the 10mm spacers came with extended studs, some did not. Mine dont have them and the spacer is literally just the disk (meaning there are no studs built into the spacer). Just wanted to know if you guys think im good to go, thanks!

No. I used 5mm slip-ons ONCE. Never again. It's scary coming out of the hills with the tell tale clunking sound of Lucilles. (You know.... "You picked a fine time to leave me Loose wheel...." ) I thought I had enough stud threads but ended up taking them off on the side of the road, never to be used again. No thanks.

Could I have just not torqued them sufficiently? I s'pose that's possible but highly improbable. I don't like taking chances.

With a 15mm spacer and you can get the lugs built in to the spacer.

I've run 8mm with no extended lugs. Not sure if I'd go over that

Anything over 5-8mm you are definitely running a risk.

I test fitted my 5mm spacers on stock studs, not much engagement at all. I did the same with my 10mm spacers. With the 10mm spacers, I destroyed the threads when I torqued to try sit the car down for testing purposes

I have run 3 mm & 5 mm , both without extended studs for 10 years now, no issues.

But.... at the end of the day its probably not a great idea.

However i recently installed the SSR/FIC 10mm spacers , hub centric, with built in studs .

They are awesome, but they Aint cheap.

roughly $200 per pair new
