Sorry: 20x9 225/35zr20 2 x 20x10 275/30zr20?
Hey everyone,
I did some searching on Google, didn't find a definitive answer so thought I'd ask. Not looking for 20" wheels, but these came up locally and I'm intrigued. Axis wheels with Federal 595 rubber. Not perfect, but good from what I've read. Specs are:
20x9 225/35zr20 roughly +30
20x10 275/30zr20 roughly +20
Waiting for exact offsets.
I didn't think they'd work with a taller tire up front, but after looking online I saw a thread where people said it would work, I assume because if the width. Anyway, I have an 07 Grand touring on stock wheels and ok tires. Just got the car and the wheels have a decent amount of rash, and the front are all seasons and rears are good summer tires. So I've been looking at just 18 wheels and swapping rubber, as well as 19 wheel and tire combos. Wasn't going to do 20's, but these are a good price. They'd also show off my Brembos nicely lol.

I wouldnt go with 20" wheels no matter the price or the tires. I did this and it really slowed the car down - I didnt think I'd notice but the additional mass of the wheel was taxing on the car. It also brought down the economy/mpgs of the car too.
I'm sure 'some' 20" wheels look ok on the car but very few ... after a few years of having my 20" I thought they started looking bad.

Just trying to figure out the math on the taller tire up front. Maybe it’s that new common core stuff or something.
Using regular old trusty math, it appears the front tire is shorter than the rear by about 3/4 of an inch.
Other than being 20’s it’s a setup. You may want spacers, 15 to 20mm to bring the wheels out where needed

Heightwise, they'll work (not optimal but workable) but I'd be more concerned about the huge tread width stagger. That 50mm delta F-R sounds a lot "understeery" to me. (Not to mention the weight and offset mentioned by others above.)
Personally, I know how tempting a good price on "cool wheels" can be but I'd still weight for the RIGHT set to come along. Doing it wrong means you'll be out shopping for wheels again in a couple months.

For reference - my 20x9 fronts weighed 57lbs, my 20x10.5 rears weighed 65lbs ...
I swapped over to a set of enkei RPF1s 18x10.5" are 44lbs ...
so I dropped 42lbs of rotational mass in the rear and 26lbs in the front...the difference was night & day...

I stopped past my storage yesterday to check what the tires were. Fronts are Falken Ziex ze912 in 225/45/18, rears are Nitto Motivo in 245/45/18. Both tires seen seehave decent reviews, even if being a high performance all season. I'll keep looking for other deals.
