Hey guys, I have a completely stock 2008 Nissan 350z touring trim. I have stock wheels, I'd like to upgrade to rpf1s in the future but right now I don't have $2000 to spend. In the mean time I'd like to have my wheels flush with the quarter panels. I'm not quite sure how big of a spacer I should run, I want hub-centric spacers (the ones that have studs on them) I don't want to rub at all and I don't want to roll my fenders. I just don't want my Z to look like I have a widebody kit with small wheels. It looks a bit goofy. Can you guys help me?

Rear 245/45/18

25MM front, 30MM rear

I edited my post to show you what it looks like.

Hey, just wandering, do you have any pictures or links to what it would look like with those spacers installed? thanks for replying btw.

google search: "350z 25mm spacers," look under images. Google has everything, unless you're in China behind some silly communist firewall.

Right after that question I typed that into Google and found plenty, I just have bad experience with Google and feel better talking to actual people. Thanks by the way even though I feel stupid now. 😂

20mm and 25mm is one of the common ones

Jdm.350z 03-05-2019 01:29 AM

That's what I was thinking after doing some research cause I don't wanna rub when I upgrade to coilovers. I dont know if I'm going to get wheels or coilovers first, so i may just go with 20mm front and 25mm rear just to keep it looking uneven. I was also researching about how 30mm rear rub if lowered. I'm on stock suspension so it wouldn't matter now. I don't wanna buy 30mm just to have to buy 25mm in the future if I buy coilovers first.

Just for reference, here's my '05 with the same wheels sitting on stock suspension with 20mm spacers in the front and 25mm in the rear.

Make sure to order the appropriate lugs if you go over 10mm. (Obviously)

Did you at any point have paranoia with running spacers? I have a set of new 30mm H&R track spacers but yet to install..

I didn't, but I only had them on for about a year before I moved on to a different set of wheels with no spacers. I used the bolt-on hubcentric spacers from Z1. Just make sure you torque everything down to spec and you should be fine. Re-check them after putting some miles on them. If you want some added piece of mind, you can always put on some red threadlocker loctite.

Thank you for your advice...

Did you purchase new lugs or did you use the stock lug nuts?

I was using some aftermarket lug nuts at the time. I believe they were open ended Muteki SR48 lug nuts.

I don't see why the stock lug nuts could not be used though. I don't believe the Z1 spacer studs were longer than OEM stud length.
