Need help with tire size for 19's!

I just got Maya STM wheels in 19x9 (+30) and 19x10.5 (+29)
I was thinking of getting 255/35 and 295/35 tires. Will this be a good combo? How many people are running this size tire on there car. A lot of people are saying to get 245/35 and 275/35 tires, but I think that will be too small on a 10.5" rear tire. BTW my car will be lowered with tein coilovers.

Thanks for the help,

Not sure about the front, but I think you will have problems with 295's on the rear. I have 275's on the rear, and it is close (lowered with Eibachs). You probably will have to roll the fender.

I was thinking of cutting the fender instead (rolling can cause paint chipping)
How wide is your rear wheel btw? I just wanna make sure their is enough rubber to protect the wheel. Thats why I was thinking of a 295 instead of a 275.

However the tire choices for a 295/35/ZR19 suck, I've been trying to find BF Goodrich G-force T/A KDW NT tires in that size and no one has them.

I have 19 x 8.5 with 245/35-19 front and 19 x 9.5 with 275/35-19 rear. The number that you should be conserned about protecting the wheel is the aspect ratio (ie: in my tires = 35), more so than the width (245 and 275)...

Also...I have Michelin PS2's...they are incredible!!

The Pilot Sports are soo much money for a 295!

MY350Z.COM Jul 29, 2004 01:25 AM

295 on the rear will fit with some major fender rolling. Tire Rack was running 295's or even larger on their red Brembo car @ SEMA a few years back. And since you have adjustable coilovers, height shouldn't be much of a problem.

What was their offset?? With a +29 won't the 295's rub on the interior(shocks)???

AxionF117 Jul 29, 2004 06:55 AM

so maybe a 285 would work better or should I just play it safe and go with a 275?

Todd@ProDyno Jul 29, 2004 08:39 AM

255-285 would work well...still (may) need some cutting/rolling

AxionF117 Jul 29, 2004 09:36 AM

you have any tires in stock that size?

either s-03's, g-force kdw nt, or pilot sports? Or maybe something similar?
