I'm running:

245/35/19 SO3s on the front
285/30/19 SO3s on the rears

the 285's are wider than my 10.5 width rims and they pretty much just flush with my fender or just a couple mm more hence I had to pull my fenders a bit. But since my offset on the rear is very low (which the lip of the rim is just a couple mm under the fender line) my tires are ending up too wide. I'm buying another set of tires this month and going down to 275 in the rear.

I'm pretty sure VDC and ABS can't tell what aspect ratio your tires are, nor can it tell what diameter the wheels are or how wide. I believe they make decisions based on wheel revolutions comparing front to rear in an effort to detect spin. If rears are turning faster than front VDC assumes wheel spin will kick in. This is based on factory tire diameters, with the front being shorter. If the diameter of your replacement tires maintain a similar ratio VDC will behave normally. It doesn't matter if you use 25, 30 or 50 series tires or 18, 19 or 20 inch wheels or mix them up . as long as you maintain the proper ratio. I have 275/30 19 and 305/30 19. Even though they are shorter than stock they have a ratio of 1.03 front to rear the same as the factory tires. This is one reason I chose these sizes, and cause there huge, too!
Where people are having problems is running a 35 front and 30 rear where the rears are shorter. In the example above with RaySur350GT his front and rear have the same diameter and I'm surprised he hasn't had problems, if he goes to the 275/35 he will be fine, if he choses the 275/30 the rear will be shorter than the front and I'd bet he will have problems with VDC.
The above is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

IMO...don't re-order your tires. I think you will be fine. Your tire difference front/back is almost insignificant. I talked to karmamag on the phone and his car has been running fine for a long time. Some people don't realize that the series numbers molded into the tire sidewalls don't determine the exact dimensions of the tire.
Example, Conti's 295 is wider than PZero's 305, Yea....!! I agree your back should be bigger than your front in all dimensions, but 3/16" shouldn't hurt anything.

Just my .02

Doh...sorry about the mix-up with the stock size. Wish you had been around pre-purchase! Damn tire-rack... But I can still refuse the shipment tomorrow when they come in.. I'm in no rush.

How about the recommendation from above:

Continental ContiSportContact 2
Front 255/35/19__10.3 wide__26.1 dia.
Rear 295/30/19__12.2 wide__25.9 dia.

Board member Karmamag is running this set up, but the front is larger in diameter... and the rear is still a 30 profile. His pictures from page 1 of this post look good as far as the rear gap goes.

Thanks in advance...

I've had two set ups since i replaced the OEM tires.

currently
255/35/19 on 19x9 29mm offset
285/35/19 on 19x10.5 31mm offset

and before
255/35/19
295/35/19 on the wheels mentioned above.

ABS and TC work with both setups.

I think i can fit the
265/35/19 front
305/30/19 rear.
the car is stock height

I know some one had put on 315/30 on the rears before but I dont recall if on 18s or 19s.

thats way too big for the rears when going with 245/35in the front. its just not practical to go with those sizes. The Z is not a muscle car.

the fronts were 255/35 and from the side it's hard to tell if you're running 275,285,295. But you can definately tell if your standing behind the car.

A 245/295 setup might look a little strange on the Z...but do 911 turbos look strange, no, not really, do they? They look bad azz!

I want my Z to look bad azz. Does this Z look silly with 295's on the back? That's what I thought too

Oh you guys still want pics? I figured sence other people have posted some you didn't need mine anymore.

Ok, let me see what I can do. Its kind of funny actually. I can buy a $34k car, but I can't seem to find the money to buy a digital camera.
