Thumbs up Helix Dyno Proven Prototype Exhaust (dyno and pic in side)!!!

Hey guys,

We have just tested the Helix prototype exhaust and got very good result with it. The exhaust sounded a little deeper than the stock exhaust and produced great whp gain. Also, please keep in mind this is a stock 05 350z with no modification except for the exhaust.

Here are some pictures of the exhaust:

Here are the dyno graph (4wd Mustang on 91 octane):

Before (stock Z):

After (with Helix prototype exhaust):

Comparision:

Thanks,
Tom

Whoa. You only dyno'd 210whp on a Mustang dyno? That seems ridiculously low. That would mean a 27% loss of power in the drivetrain.

Nice gains. So this is from the stock y-pipe back? How big is the piping? And how much?

I would like to see it with ypipe/test pipe.

Tell Geoff i got my springs, so he can pat himself on the back.LOL

Ask max if he can sell me a prototype to test!

Looks like a cheap knock off of the APS exhaust. How much?

Thats a pretty nice gain considering that it is on a mustang dyno!

Numbers aren't important. They mean nothing really. The gain is what we are after. If the car made 100whp on that dyno and gained 10whp, then the same car was brought to a different dyno and it made 300whp, and still gained 10whp would the car be any faster since it dynoed higher?

does this exhaust have the same connection point between the b-pipe and muffler inlet as the stock? if so would the b-pipe be available for sale? i have my SECOND sp2 muffler coming next week that would match well

I think 210 on our 4wd Mustang dyno is pretty good. Our dyno is used in tuning our US tuning WRX and many 4wds. Just got give you an idea...a stock STI is around 210-220 on our dyno.

The target price is $599 for this exhaust.

Thanks,
Tom

I like the looks of the exhaust a lot. Reminds me of the fujitsubo legalis r from the back. I was going to get the fujitsubo, but maybe I'll wait now.

Looks good and the price is also nice. Please tell me they'll have it available for the G Coupe as well?

Not a bad price. Looks similar to the Fujitsubo Legalis-R.
