Every time I see one of these "damaged in a parking lot threads," 9 out of 10, they could have parked farther away so I ask, why didn't you park farther away? It wouldn't have killed you to walk the extra distance.

I would assume because he made the parking spot at his job intentionally bigger so this would not happen, it was obviously done by an idiot that cannot park worth a damn, or on purpose.

I had one just like that on my Z, it can be taken out with PDR, and for less than $100.

Maybe be thankful that was all they did. As annoying as door dings are. There will always be muppets that will park much closer than they need to, even if you parked miles away from everyone.

With your nice z profiled backwards in a custom wide parking spot, I'm surprised people haven't targeted it more than that. Considering so many haters out there

Yup, done that myself many, many times and when I came back out, there's always a clown parked next to me. This is why I have a door ding on both sides of the car...because you can't have anything unspoiled if you're sharing the road with the public. It's very sad but true. The worst was when someone just backed into the Z with truck, bent the hood and took off. That was just awesome.

To the OP, sorry to see that but it's reality. People suck and when they don't have anything nice themselves, they don't want you to have it either. I think 90% of the time, these dings happen accidentally. People with kids pull up, kid swings the door open hard, bam, damage is done. With my previous car, I was in the car when a teenager walked right into my car with the shopping cart. I interregted him but at the end, what can I get from him? He had no money, and all he could say is sorry, bla bla bla.

This is the price we pay for having such things. Hopefully you can just have ti popped out and it'll be 99% back to original condition.

Sorry to see the ding, bro. An incident, similar to yours, happened to me at a local fitness club. I was parked right next to a handicap spot. So this old *** lady in a truck pulled into the handicapped parking, then swung the door out completely without any regard for my vehicle. From a far, i could sorta see the door bounced off something. I was like, "Ah, great." So i get to my car, and long and behold, a huge dent matched the angle which the door had swung opened. Some people just don't care......

I feel your pain bro.. I have one in the same exact spot on the drivers side. The Z's always get the dings on the body line right on that crease and it really sucks. One time at the gym I accidentally parked on the curb I was parking so far away. I was on my stock rims so I didn't really care much and left it. This G6 parks next to me, the doors on that car are ENORMOUS...dinged me so bad I waited for this dumb ***** to come out. She then of course denied the whole thing. Peoples carelessness on getting in and out of their cars drives me crazy!

Yeah I mean its hard to really park in the farthest spot away from work our parking lot only has id say 32 spots...The was our company truck on the drivers side of me and then mike usually parks his SRT there...but couldnt when he got there.I have noticed you can do your best to take two parking spots...or park away from someone...you'll either get a bitching note...or someone will park next to you in a damn cavalier or lifted redneck truck cuz they think its funny.

Im gonna go over the cameras today at work..find what car it is...get the plates and call my local PD connection find out the owner and lock the account out.It has there paint on it the mark..know what color the car is.
