i went back to the dealership today. my tech advisor told me that BOTH parts, the gauge pod, and tranny were backordered. could be 1 to 4 weeks before they come in. and my car would sit there for that long while i am stuck in the d@mn neon. i said F it, gimme my keys. i guess i'll take it back in during late spring, when its not rainy, cold, and just nasty. i really really hate nissan service right now. love the car... hate the service.

Sorry for all your tranny troubles, maybe you just got that bad lemon out of the batch of 05's :rolleyes: I was sorta worried about my tranny too but supposedly I am being picky (former Honda chick - much smoother tranny). Anywho hopefully I wont be telling the same story.

Good luck man and get an upgrade on the Neon. The last time the dealer gave me a Neon for a loaner the darn thing wouldnt start the next day :icon8: .... Keep us posted :icon19:

If the gauge cluster is backorderd, see if they can sneak you in a NISMO one for the difference in cost. It's a suite mod, but for most people offers very little for the dough...but if they're throwing out your old one, maybe they can give you credit towards an upgrade. :) Also, hopefully the Nismo one isn't backordered.

As for the tranny, that just sucks. Hopefully this problem is limited to your car...but knowing nissan it will be endemic to the 05s.
