I am so happy! It's here!

Well my friends, the long wait is over, my Super Black 350Z Touring w/6spd is here!

I have been out driving and driving and driving.

All I can say is... WOW!

I have been reading everyone's posts how the Z just wants to be driven harder. I am taking it easy, due to break in. I have gone up to 5000rpm a couple times while I was getting used to it. I am staying below 4000rpm as I am supposed to.

Turns... WOW! I have never been in any car that turns like this. I love it.

My dealership was phenomenal. I really love them. They treated me SO good. I felt like someone special tonight. I love them.

Todd

Ps. I LOVE the navigation system. Way too cool.

Irony. In the noble attempt to correct one's grammar, the person misspells a word himself. :)

Congrats on the car T-dawg! haha

Todd, finally! Congrats man, makes it all worth the wait. We're happy for you - enjoy!

GaryM05 Nov 26, 2002 05:46 AM

Congrats, Todd! Are you still in the Denver area? If so, enjoy those mountain twisties, but watch out for ice these next few days!

Congrats Todd!!!! I hope you enjoy the car, eventhough if you do live in the denver area, ya might be a little careful, since we got all that snow, at least down here on monument hill  ,

Thank you all for the kind words. It is great to have such an excellent online community! :)

Hey Gary,

Thank you!

Yes, I am in the area, Westminster to be exact. The mountain twisties should be fun, I cannot wait. I have heard up by Estes Park is great.

Thank you!

I saw all the snow fall on the hill on the news. That is always a hard-hit area during snowfall.

I am actually from the 'Springs myself. Great place.

Nice ToddLuc, finally you got what you were waiting for. The wait was worth it right? Ohh man wait till it starts breaking in. The shifter gets smoother and the car starts to get more power. First week I had my car I thought I was dreaming. Well that phase is over, but I am loving every second I drive the car. Congrats on your car, it was a happy ending after all huh?

I'm jealous of you two. I grew up in the 'Springs as well (Palmer HS) and would love to take my Z up Ute pass on a Sunday morning drive. That road was built for speed...

I used to race up the pass just about every day with some friends from Cascade and GMF. Course the roads in Washington aren't bad outside of Seattle/Tacoma, but it's not quite the same.

We were in VW bugs for those concerned we were risking others lives. We didn't get going super fast, but it was loads of fun.

Thank you SandMan, both for the congrats and the earlier support.

The wait was well worth it. I have been reading where the shifter gets smoother and the Z gets more power. I cannot imagine that, as the shifter is awesome today, and the power is amazing!

It was a happy ending, indeed! :)

I grew up at Palmer HS as well. It is a small world, huh?

I haven't tried Ute pass, but I think I have to now, :)

Hey man no problem, I knew how you felt. I think most of us felt that way during the pre-order period. The waiting game sucks, but after its over it's all gravy. The shifter is sweet and very short, but it feels a lot smoother after 600 miles. And yes, the power is pretty crazy but it gets better, plus after break in you can redline so you should feel what she is really capable of. I haven't floored it yet, but I have taken her over 5k rpms and damn does she fly.

Estes Park is a GREAT drive in this car. 36 from Boulder to Estes, Peak-to-Peak Highway down to 6, 6 east into Golden, and 93 back north to the Interlocken turn-off (I can't remember the road name, but it heads east from 93 just north of the Flatirons Vista trailhead) is a real fun way to get some miles in toward your break-in. I'm in Broomfield and have been spending some quality time researching some good drives in the area, although I really need to get my V1 before I can do some more "intensive" research.

Have fun on the drive up to Estes, but be careful of those spots where shadows cross the road and the snow/ice never melts. That could ruin the day real quick.

Gary
